How do make a folder of multi samples map correctly in kontakt?

I have new DnB Xplosion

it has some kontakt instruments. when loading it says i need new kontakt.

so i dont like to upgrage just for this - it might cause too many problems

There is a way i think (i forget) to input the samples and make kontakt 'intelligently' remap based on file names?

just proving the not intutive nature of Kontakt

i had posted about this before....and then completely forgot about it...

i'm loosing my mind a bit yes.... NI stuff is like focking bomb disposal rather that fun


so far this is how I have managed it is there a simpler way?


NI = Not Intuitive

For anyone else who needs to know


drag samples in to Kontakt (drag the top sample so that the patch is named this)

edit button
mapping editor button
select all (ctrt+A)

this ahs to be set up

set "automap setup" to "set to single key" on note names C2 etc (only need to be done once if samples have similar names)


hit the "auto" button


right click (with all selected)
- batch tools
- move root key to lower border




then click the "root" button on the top
(or right click - automap functions - auto spread zone key ranges)


looks like

rename and press enter
then save as

NI stuff is a shitter to use.

Yeah I missed all the fighting. I was writing music.. not collecting samples ... for a change. .

Everyone's got to chill the fuck out and give Saint a break. .

 

I edited it down to 2 post so I look less "talk to myself" :D

 

You're not talking to yourself - I (and others no doubt) appreciate being reminded how to do this; your screen captures are helpful, better than the cryptic account in the manual - thx
