Hello again,
another topic I was surprised hasn't been covered anywhere on the internet properly,

what's the best interface with just
2 (balanced, TRS) line inputs,
2 balanced line outputs,
and headphone out?

to be used by keyboard players, synth players etc..,
so no mics or hi-z "guitar" inputs needed,

quality-wise, there may be very little difference in line preamps,
troublesome thingy are always drivers, so consider that,

(I can guess RME Babyface would be the answer, but let's suggest some cheaper solutions

EDIT: compatible with both MacOS and Windows, not being bigger than half 1-rack-unit size

any ideas?

A used Babyface for between 2-$300.

 

RME ADI-2 PRO, mastering grade & measurement grade.
Better than Prism and many other legendary converters.
Easily portable and full of cool features.
One of the best headphones amp I ever heard.
IMHO the ultimate choice.
The price is not cheap but woth every penny.

overhyped rme's product, did many good converter, good but not best, overpriced at the product range, they wasted many years to developing shit fpga digital shit, now they are in same level with uad and antelopes losers
