Cubase 5 stuttering midi input

    Does anyone have this issue with Cubase 5 on windows 10? Everything worked great on my old windows 7 system, but since i cannot find windows 7 drivers for this new laptop i am now stuck with windows 10. The input of notes stutters when recording from virtual keyboard and also midi keyboard. Any ideas what the problem could be?

    Does it sound good? You should upload a sample, if true then I will download Cubase & start stuttering

    MIDI notes don't stutter per se.
    1) Maybe your CPU is choking because of the calculation overload. Check your CPU handling.
    2) Maybe your audio interface buffer size is set too low. Check it.
    3) Maybe you have background processes or other hardware conflicts (wireless, wi-fi, hdd/ssd, etc). Download LatencyMon and do a diagnostics check.
