Not a request or a complaint, just a question

I cant help by noticing that over the last year or 2, that there has been very little sample libraries 'released' on the sister site from the big companies that we used to see all the libraries appear from. Companies like Loopmasters, Big Fish Audio, Producer Loops and Sample Magic.
Why do people think we have went from having the choice of getting free to try 90% of the libraries to about 1% of these libraries from the likes of Loopmasters. Do you think its due to the likes of Loopcloud, etc?
As we now seem to get most of the libraries appearing from small (and 50% rubbish) small companies, instead of the big boys.

I must point out the this isn't a complaint (I am grateful for the many samples and programs over the year) or a request (although I would like to see them back :) )

I just wondered if anyone had an insight into why this situation has occurred?

Maybe the companies pay them to not release anything?
Would explain the silence about it.
The few packs that are released could be promotional. Or to get data.
But a huge fight between the supplier and all the teams is more plausible.
    It's a mystery :scrapbox:

I think most of us would rather the samples than the massive shift that has happened towards Tutorial, tutorial, tutorial, that nobody, with a life, would ever have time to watch in a million years :)
Yes, would all prefer programs and kontakt libraries, than sample packs, but they are better than a video of some nobody showing you for hours how they make a rubbish track :)

they'll prolly pay somebody off and get into a bunker buster proof condo..

whole other thread, the question was if the tuts could be sequestered under a category all their own
due to the clutter , but meh :chilling:
