hi Mat. very nice piece. nice guitar playings. are they real or virtual ? personally i would work a bit more on sound design. i guess you did everything alone? it's very precise which is not always a good thing. involve some people! look for a strong main melody on top of everything, like a synth solo doubled with guitar. otherwise nice piece mate !!

in agreeance w korte1975, nice work! guitar seems a bit overpowered at times, especially by the synth plucks which sit quite nicely. Would love to hear those two gel a bit more. But this is minor, overall a good, clean mix with breathing elements :thumbsup:

Me likes this too, good work. After the intro I leaned back in my chair and thought 'well, this could be worth to listen to'. And i was right, I've been entertained. The guitars are a bit shy though.

Hey thank you! for taking the time.
Those are virtual guitars, no playing involved ,strumming patterns are used.Did it alone. Thanks, for all your suggestions.

Nice work Mat, I reckon a vocal line or 3 would set it off nicely........if you're able.

Nice use of vsti guitars and could work well as a soundtrack. When the music starts it carries a feeling of building tension and expectation. I enjoyed the addition of different instrumental elements throughout the repeating refrain. I think that the track might benefit from some kind of breakdown half or third way through and maybe gradual rise back to the main theme just to keep it from following the same pace till end. Cheers

pristine sounds, a gourmet for my ears, love it! :grooves:

strangely, i feel like the guitar is still too present.
i would wash it out/dampen, make it more dreamy.

but thats a taste thing, its good how it is, really good.

    hmm, i'm curious,
    whats your sample rate setting?

    thanks for sharing

Thanks for taking the time. Yeah the guitar is too present even after taking a lot out of it, i agree with you on dampening it. 44.1,logic ,with console saturation ,one compressor on the master bus,the "pristineness" attained mainly by equalisation.Mixed and mastered on creative 2.1speakers and HD 650, with 'Let go' by Enjaa youtube rip as reference in a well treated room.

    Nice.
Sounds a bit 'compact' and held down on the drums & muted bass which make the wide synth create a bit of a 'gap' in the overall spectrum.
Would def. bring out the 'guitar' more and experiment with some dub-like delays. But sweet piece of music man ...

I too felt the same when i compared it to the reference. Its a hassle to reprogram the kit,so went with it and thought i would get away with it.You caught me man.Thank u for making me to push myself even more.

listened again a couple of times, the sounds are a bit sharp on the edges and stand somewhat alone.
i think this could greatly benefit from some tape emulation on the Master channel.

subtle smoothing sounds out and glueing everything together, a bit of a washing compression plus the added lower region "warmth".
i just noticed i should stop trying to describe tape

dunno what you have at hand,
UAD, Softube, are the usual suspects for this.

Waves J37 or Kramer Master Tape can do this as well, maybe even both in chain.:winker:

Tried tape saturation on the master, but it affects the sub bass and makes the 100 to 200hz choke even more. On the high elements it might be a good idea or i will try reducing levels.:like:
