I followed the instructions reported on Obelisk page but there is no output coming out

 

Cannot see what is going wrong - instructions are clear - maybe they did not say you need to record enable both tracks - at least that is what is necessary in cubase - not using s1 any more.

 

This is what I did:

1. Added a synth on one track
2. Added Obelisk on another track
3. Set Obelisk in the synth track (from the menu under synth name)

 

Shouldn't you set obelisk as input not as 'synth name'? But I don't even know what obelisk is - is it a midi modulator/plugin or does it have it's own sounds?

 

Just because I respect you I have installed the demo and it is working fine in cubase - it is merely changing the note and chord harmony so it is not all that different if you merely hit few notes to see what will happen. Cannot help you with s1 - one of the two main reasons I've gone back to cubase is midi (the other being asio guard) - s1 doesn't even have midi tracks which makes it both confusing and less usable.

 

And now cubase froze - probably because of this plugin. Never will try it again. ;)

Grab a notepad and settle in here are the *complete* and *unabridged* instructions directly from their website and PDF Manual:

• Add Obelisk to one track
• Add your synth to another track
• Set the MIDI input of the synth track to be Obelisk

Did you get all of that?
(Seriously; I just set that plug-in up recently and, though it's not for me, it is a solid plug-in that works fine in Studio One.)

 

I'm sorry ddoctor, didn't knew Obelisk could cause such problems

 

It's what I did but doesn' work...

 

By the by, just as a sidenote, you can send Obelisk to more than one channel so the intruments play simultaneously. Since Studio One already has the ability to layer instruments, that makes this only mildly useful, as it only differs slightly in the type of control you have over the instruments layered/linked.

Thanks eXACT now works, I was missing routing the synth from its GUI to Obelisk
