Early 90s Boom Bap Type Beat 3 in fruityloops 1.2.10

Just keeping it simple, but still trying to be creative with limitations. Only effects are really:

    - A built echo/delay
    - A built sine fx
    - A built overdrive fx
    - Fade L to R
    - Reverse Stereo (Fade R to L)
    - Reverse
    - Auto stretch
    - Cut/Cut By

    No VST support

    Constructive Feedback Appreciated

Positioning of the snare is questionable at best.
    Missing groove and feel
Too choppy sample editing for early 90s Beat - early 90s beats were generally more loop-driven
Drums sound thin. Educate yourself on drum breaks and drum layering
    Keep practicing. A lot!

And also: Any beat maker with self-respect who wants to be taken seriously shouldn't upload beats to YouTube adding "xyz type beat" to it just for clicks!

I repeat, just keeping it simple. I'm not trying to hustle this beat or be a struggle beat maker for a living. I'm just having fun with it. I agree with the drums sounding thin, but are no effects outside of what I stated (this software is from 1998). I didn't loop the drums because it didn't sound good either (sounded too digitally choppy). I agree with the positioning of the drums that's me trying to recreate the do the funky penguin break. There's no piano roll or keyboard/note mode so I had to work with what I got. I repeat I'm not a struggle producer trying to hustle beats. This is for fun.

I know this software is from 98... I actually used it in 98. And I made it do more...

Rebirth and a collection of mod sets came up for d/l on the sister site today. Another early legend for skint producers.

It seems like you have a problem with someone else who had a similar style of music as me. Please do not bring that over here. I didn't ask what you can do with software or what beatmakers should do with titles of their videos. I'm asking with my limitations on this software (fruityloops 1.2.10), HOW can I make THIS BEAT sound BETTER. Thank You.

I only have problems with people saying a software is limiting them when they actually are not putting enough effort in themselves to make something work! It should be obvious by now that you need to improve the sound of your samples either before hand or after production if you work in a program environment where you cannot use insert effects. So here's what could by done by putting some time and effort into it:

    1. Export Tracks or Single shot samples from FL
    2. Import in external DAW
    3. Mix/improve Samples/Stems
    4. Export one shots
    5. Import/Replace Sounds in FL Studio with mixed sounds.
