Hi guys,

I finally decided to purchase Nexus 2(on my new Mac ;-) ) they offer a now special prices till the 22nd.
So my question is now how this legit software will work with the other stuff like rob Papen or Arturia and so on....
Will i get any problems with that stuff?
right now i am using logic 9.1.8.

If anyone has experience with that pls help me.

i use nexus 2 on mac as well and i have never had a problem with it, i'm om snow leopard 10.6.8 and am using the same logic version as you...

Purchased Nexus 2 about 4 weeks ago at the christmas sale and its amazing!

I have a Mac Pro Using Logic 9.1.8 on Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and it works without problems.

If you buy it i wish you lots of fun =)

I think OP is worried about how legal Nexus will interact with some illegal softwares (cracked) mentionned.
Since Arturia stuffs and Nexus both use eLicenser.
I think it's ok, but I can't be sure.

what i mean was if i get any problems with the legit nexus 2 and non-legit plug INS (because of the dongle) like e.g... Rob Papen, Arturia or other products.

I know that this sort of question is not really allowed here but i hope you can make an exception.

BTW what expansions do you advise me I am doing lot of hip hop and rnb stuff
and love very good ARP sounds?

i used to have both nexus 2 and most of arturia & rob papen plugins installed and never got any difficulties.. by the way i'm into hip hop/trap/rnb too and i kinda asked the same thing on here a while ago. i ended up with these:

it's quite a big list, but i find each very useful for the genres you're into... i especially like the dance orchestra because it contains a lot of 'go-to' trap sounds, but i don't know whether it is considered hip hop
one of my favorites is the analog expansion, it has some nice portamento leads and pluck sound, but i think most of nexus' expansions lend themselves to be used in modern hip hop/rnb...

 

If you dig Arturia's stuff Diva can replace almost the whole thing, personally never found Papen stuff interesting enough so don't have them either.

I seriously doubt that you will need more stuff after Nexus, so ignoring non legit things is best way

 

I think this plugins are cracked so they don't check the eLicenser material at all. So it should be ok.
But I didn't try, so it's just my 2 cents.
If you try , tell us about it. I'm planning to buy Nexus 2 as well, and use a bit of Arturia's moog (illegally, even though I can live without it, just out of curiosity)
