The cheapest way to get an ilok seems to be through subsribing to Slate Everything Bundle.

What if I choose the annual but billed monthly option and stop paying after 1 month? I can save $12 or so that way compared to purchasing only 1 month of subscription.

If I stop paying can they make my hardware ilok stop working in general? I know they will deactivate all Slate stuff but I just want to know if the hardware ilok will be usable after that for getting access to other plugins like Kush stuff?

No they can't disable a piece of hardware.
This kind of financial risk is marginal for them as it is easily amortised with regular annual plans.
So my guess is : go for it.

 

This plan isn't that great after a year and 1/2 i use it less and less. I don't own anything and its a never ending charge. The stuff I could use I could of bought already twice. Buy the ilok .
