So after experimenting with Ableton, I've decided to learn Logic Pro instead!
The user interface and plugins are much better suited to my tastes.
Same as before, I'm looking for the most comprehensive tutorial available!
All suggestions are welcome, as to your fave or just the best course overall?

Here is a different and maybe more productive advice.

Instead of wasting your time "messing around a lot", why not invest your time wisely and learn the app properly and then use all your precious time for what you really want: be creative, create songs, make music, mix, whatever it is that you do.
Start with the following manual in my best-selling book series "Graphically Enhanced Manuals":

"Logic Pro X - How it Works"

You will learn how Logic works in a quick and easy way with lots of graphics and diagrams, and then apply that to your work. No guess works, no messing around.

But don't take my word for it, here is what some of my readers have to say about my books:
    • This approach is really exceptional, there is no better way to explain how things work - Heey L.
    • You are making a lot of musicians' learning curve fun and enjoyable - Alex S.
    • I've been using Logic since 1988, well Creator, and you explain and lay things out in such a remarkably clear and insightful way. - Michael B.
    • By the way, I have never seen any book of any type that is as well illustrated as one of yours. I find that the graphics make it so much easier to understand the material and that they enable me to learn much faster. Great products! Gerry V.
    • I love your manuals. They are a huge help and are written in a concise and informative style that is rare in the manual world! - Alex T.

I can personally vouch for Edgar's eBooks. I've got all the Logic Books he makes, and waiting for more. Instead of just watching HOW to do something, you can understand HOW and WHY. Huge difference, and it will stick with you longer. He was rumored to be making an Ableton Live 10 one as well, I'll be first in line if, and when it comes out.
