So I try to drag the NKI file in and it crashes. Also if I go to the file tab and select the NKI from there it crashes. I got it to work yesterday by just repeatedly trying it but it seems to not want to work today. Any tips?

 

Tip: tell us at least the version, and who cracked it, if cracked, of Kontakt, Operating System type and version. Do you have any antivirus and/or firewall installed? These usually cause "interesting" problems like this.

If I remember correctly, there was a problem with Kontakt 5.7 or 5.8 when it wasn't able to connect to the Internet it would crash, so if your firewall is blocking it, it will crash. However, if you disable the network and firewall completely, it should work. Worth checking up?

 

Hmmm I'm not entirely sure how to tell which kontakt version I'm on, especially because I have torrented two different versions, but one of them is 5.6.8 and the other is 5.3. Both cracked by R2R I believe

 

why don't you try the portable version? it has a clear adding process.

Try downloading and using the Kontakt 5.7.3 portable version from the sister-site audiosex.

It might not resolve your problem, though. Keep us posted.
