Im really curious on how to achieve that sound on male vocals. My first thought on that vocal is that the engineer cut a lot of the upper-midrange,listen especially the way the Shh sounds are pronounced.Any tips from the pros in here?

I'd say, apart from a pretty good mic and some kind of autotune, a level rider, a low cut and a saturation fx.

Its tooooo smooth to just be like that,to my ears its something like a wide cut on the midrange like a smiley and then some saturation on the lows and the highs

On 1:33 you can cleary hear the mids coming back. Its like he used the cut on the eq just for the verse

Probably a gentle roll off in the high freq range.

Yep, he the the verse sound thinner.
