Hi there, looking to find a job in the music business, studio etc.

What would you guys suggest would be the best approach for this?
Any help is much appreciated.

TLDR: Figure out what you enjoy, not what job title you want.

 

Here's a few of my observations so far:

-For studio/production find the best one around you and volunteer, when you get an opportunity show up everyday or as much as they will allow and be a sponge with everything everyone tells you, they will notice and love it (this route hinges on a dope personality as well).

-For music business/non creative go to college for communications, music business, film studies, get internship and show up as much as possible, be a sponge and if you're extremely lucky they will give you more then just a solid recommendation and a pat on the back at the end.... Which they all tend to do more often then not nowadays so pay attention to building relationships at school and internship.

-For music business/creative stay in-doors when other kids are playing and learn your musical craft. Slave until luck turns in your favor. Do NOT get married or have kids during this process or you WILL be a dick (unless she understands her nurturing role as the enabler).

If you are attractive you may have other tools at your disposal that can help. If played correctly can even expedite your journey to becoming industry established, however do not be discouraged at all if you're ugly as this doesn't affect your chances as long as you're solid. Also be aware that if you're a master at giving head you must be equally adept at your music industry skill-set or you will be exposed and/or passed around the room.
