Hey everyone!

I've been afraid to update Waves so I'm still on 9.2. It's time I face my fear. The problem is, in part, I installed this so long ago that I forget what procedure I used. Whichever it was, it resulted in the file structure in the image below.

I'm running OS X 10.13.4.

Do I need to uninstall and reinstall a newer version or can I update this?

Edit: I did ask this before. And I made a title that was something like "Updating Waves." That was three years ago and I received zero responses.

I tried it the right way and no one wanted ot be helpful. So yes, I used a bit of deception to grab your attention.

I make music for myself and share it with a few friends. It's a hobby, to alleviate stress. There is very little ill-intention behind this post. Just asking my online friends for some help.

Relax, for start. It's just computer software.

Play safe, and un/re-install. Or update, and if it's not working, then un/re-install.
Worst case scenario, some precious life time is - more / less - forever lost.

Find the text file in new version folder, just do it in order.

um dude, I had both my parents die, and lost my home and studio in a fire and just made it out with a t shirt, on the fire escape before the gas pipes exploded, that is SCARED my nicca. lol
(this happened a little while back now)

What doesn't kill you..
by some + percentage of probability, in some (ironically, maybe the similar or same) different shape, form.. will next time.
Until then, similar to described fucked up situations and sour times provoking events, can be best eyeopener ever. After few escapades of that manner, in process (called life), one at some point experience epiphany. Again; can literally smell life, see absolutely full spectrum of colors, hear and amply feel plethora of sounds around and in him/her. If s/he's not left to deal with melted ears, heat popped eyeballs, and lifetime scared esophagus and lungs.

Only serious basket cases are immune to comprehension of fear in ("afraid to update waves") such situations. But now, "at least", you know how it feels and what it looks like, in and after enduring some life´s (loved passing away) cruel, serious and often, for most, sooner or later, inevitable teachings. Mostly (fuck finance in/after "terminal" events) untouched; spared, to fully live, fell, see, hear, be, do, prize.... is one to cherish. With some sane level of gratitude. Until you (never forget) forget. Sooner or later, everybody forgets. And then they're being reminded.

 

Well if he was reading the Waves v10 thread in the new product forum over at Gearslutz, I can understand why he's scared, lol

I thought it was a requirement to know how to reinstall this plugins as it is updated every week. I still have yet to use these plugins even after 2 years lols
