Like the title says, looking for a fiddle vsti I can control with midi...I've looked for quite a long time, & can't find anything that would work....Any help???

Would a Kontakt library work for you 'coz there's a bunch. Misfit Fiddle by 8Dio doesn't sound too bad. There's even a fiddle .nki in Kontakt's factory library.

Keep in mind that you need the FULL Kontakt Library for this .nki not the Factory Select that comes with the Kontakt Player.

 

Also, a fiddle is just a violin. It's the playing style (aka technique) that makes it fiddling. So, any solo violin should do. Look for spiccato, staccato, marcato, glissando (for slides). Basically everything bowed (arco) and expressive. Make it a bit dirtier in the mixing process and you should have some fine fiddle.

Not that I know of, particularly, but if someone was up for working with Mark O'Connor to create a library of his angelic, amazing and consummate playing, it would certainly make a huge splash. He might be the finest the world has ever been gifted.
