just wanted to get on with making a skin for it,it looks sh@t other wise

Could you imagine,,,steinberg ,ableton ,presonus or reaper ect
going after links to remove skins users made for their program
or even telling users they can,t make skins, just goes to show ya

Hey momo that looks awesome! That teal/blue tint is my fav color. Since i grew up in san jose, CA. We are fond of teal cause of the Sharks! Haha.

Anyways, can i apply that to my FL 20 build 477 that was recently released ?

 

No, he puts the DAW back in demo mode
But you can test it by making a copy of FLEngine_x64.dll

Why are all the latest FL Studio releases removed from the forum ???

 

I imagine even lifetime updates has a price.
Hope they re-think policies about skins.

What about it do you think looks "childish"? I think the way it's laid out is rather convenient and it's probably the most intuitive piano roll I've ever used in a DAW.

i am sure they are aware though, they even go after youtubers tutorials and look up their emails to see if they are legit and will take down your channel if they take out 3 of your videos

Exactly who i was referring to! Been watching his videos and also saw some people in his comments who also got exposed by IL!

 

Image line announced a while back they now consider skins a copyright issue because of the GUI, artwork etc:

Changes to tolerance of skinning posts in Looptalk and other Image-Line forums
Sharing files associated with skinning FL Studio 12 and above (.dlls), or FL Studio 11 and below (.bmp, .tga etc) are violations of both Copyright and or the EULA. We will take action to remove infringing material wherever we find this on the internet.

The EULA: 7. User obligations Without restricting the generality of the foregoing, the User shall not, nor give anyone permission to (i) download, duplicate, rent, lease, alter, modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or create derivative works based on the Software; ...

What other options do you have?

I don't really like that you must do it by Resource Hacker, or whatever to make changes on the skins.
Not feeling satisfied with it.

 

I installed this and it is great, but I want to go back to default skin. I switched the original .dll back, but the playlist and piano roll are still black after using the .reg file. Any help on how to make it go back to the normal FL Grey color? Thanks

They were letting users skin fl for the best part of 20 years
and have never seen any company get so upset over it
cause they want to do it them selfs now,but said before that it was impossible.

it's pretty stupid to make a youtube tutorial where it's easy to see that the used software is pirated, from there it's easy to get contact information which i'm sure youtube will be happy to provide (also to avoid lawsuits for hosting the alleged infringement). i do like the fact that he is basically saying this in his video and warning others not to incriminate themselves, which happens alot on youtube. just like that aoki gumball with his vid using a cracked version of sylenth (which he did have proof of ownership for but used a cracked version for installing), that's just asking for it.

It is stupid but tell me this...would you not be mad if your channel got taken down because people in your comments are posting crack links or maybe even talking about cracks. People have been penalized for this!! Do you know how hard it is to keep track of your comments on a growing channel!! The only way to avoid it is to add filters to certain key words on your videos but still, i would be furious.
