Wondering what others do to keep irreplaceable hard drives and laptops safe?

Anyone install an actual safe in their studio for this?
I would like an easy way to keep soundcard and drives attached to my laptop, but keep it very secure

I never really though of this before, but I guess a fireproof safe might be a way to make sure that irreplaceable drives don't get destroyed or stolen. But just to be sure that nobody tries to steal the safe itself, invest in a pack of vicious dachshund puppies...your stuff ain't going nowhere fast!

I currently hide everything away, which makes it a real pain to get up and running.

Just - encrypt - everything if you are worry about someone stealing your stuff.
Otherwise upload it in a cloud if you want them somewhere safe.

 

be carefull with ext hdd for storage, i had a new 4tb to backup my system and kept it in a safe place, but when i needed it the drive was dead, it can happen sometimes especially if you plug in and unplug it manytimes, so now i have 2 8tb connected to my pc they last longer if powered on for some reason, gone are the days when you could back up on dvd discs, well for me its not an option as my new pc has no optical drive and most new pc`s do not have them, usb is taking over alot now, i miss my cd drive, i know i can get an ext cd drive but for being lazy i just use usb now
