A lot of work (production-wise) put into this one. 40% sound 60% visuals. There is a danger (zone) here.. It gives me a feeling she wants to be ALTER(native), just because it's cool. I even find some other songs that @Pollice verso posted more interesting.

There were (and are) weirdos doing all sorts of strange stuff /w electronics - some from 1978, like Kraft.. We'll see if this will last 40 years. The character, impact is IMO a bit weak here..

To the OP: please, try to stick to homogeneous posts. If you change the original one later, there is a good chance we'll make a mess out of it..

Well the thing about that foster is that these DAWs perform well in the right hands. You can either make a piece of great music maybe jazz, rock n roll, pop, classical or whatever but you can also fit bits of loops together and call it your own when in fact the riffs belong to other artists and/or you can rap some poetry and pretend that you are the best thing since sliced bread which seems to be the norm these days! It depends on the actual talent of the end user.

 

Or pick up a guitar or synth or even a trumpet and play some real music!

Well, I never heard the original, but if it makes this sound good by comparison I'm rather glad I didn't.
I actually only listened because I never do listen to the newer stuff and I thought perhaps my memories were judging too harshly.

Don't mind me, I'm an ancient old fart who is currently working on an electronic realization of 'Francesca da Rimini' by Tchaikovsky.

Ought to take about a year, what with other projects and such.

To the topic however; I find the mix grainy and distorted (I s'pose it's intentional?) The beginning and end to be a very dull repetitive noise collection and the interlude to be poorly sung and totally mismatched.

As to the graphics, weeellll, in my other life I'm a CGI designer, so not sparking for me there either.

I'll post it if it isn't a total disaster and I live through it. Yes I could have picked an easier piece (there are reasons Tomita started with Debussy) but I'm fond of it as well as the literary source so it's a very visual piece for me (my minds eye even sees much of the animation I could do for it.) So far just hand copying the score has taken forever. (too hard to play from a conductors score for me)
