As for "been there and done that"... I suppose you could put me somewhere in the upper one third of the bell curve... Not too far up... Some guys (like you?) have had just too many varied experiences...

The synth actually didn't motivate me... it was all upto @Spyfxmk2 's set project ... I couldn't use anything else... and as has been propounded previously in other threads, sometimes choking off your sound choices forces you to do good with what you have...

I like a lot this song.However personnally I think that the voice is too much in front of the song.I think the reverb on the voice is a bit too long and dark too,maybe I would try with a reverb shorter but a bit compressed.But maybe I'm wrong...I think if your voice is in the foreground that should work better with a shorter and brighter reverb.For me to find the perfect reverb is always a pain.

kudos for the vocals they sound a bit too loud compared to the rest of the song but they're clear and understandable (also fit well).
