Bug nightmare for poor IL. What was the problem with the number 12? Changing to 20 was inauspicious for them because in the 20th birthday, they have extremely tough times.:bleh:

I think most of the bugs are due to changing the DATA folder's path. Seem endless.:dunno:

I guess playing with Fruity Loops is cool when your little sister plays with your barbies.

I'm glad if my sister finds joy with my Barbie girls
Not sorry for missing the train of modern times that endorses having a stash of Kens up my ars.

Nice to see FL team is working hard for a stable release of FL20. I've used FL since v7 and still use FL11 for all programming. When finalizing stuff, mixing & mastering happens in Reaper though, as well as all live recordings.

I think most DAWs excel at something, but dedicated Cubase users seems often to get it all done within it's matrix.
For me, Cubase is awesome for many of the same reasons Reaper is.

However, programming ideas in Reaper/Cubase is to me more like just laying out finished ideas, and that's about it, like office work. FL midieditor works also as an artistic tool to me. I often find myself ending up with happy accidents while playing with the pianoroll & getting some new ideas on top of the original. If FL20 doesn't hit home with me, that's ok, FL11 is already cool.

Many DAWs have recently updated big time, so it's a great year for everyone, no matter what your tools of the trade are.

Most music players have problem with DAWs. DAWs are not for helping you to play music. They're for facilitating the music-making process that you've learned inside or outside of the box for releasing.

As I've always said making music and playing music are almost 2 different realms. You can be skillful in either of them or both of them. If your main intention is entertaining people on stage, DAWs are totally useless for you (unless you use their looping capabilities for improvising over them) but if you want to make music for the electronic media, you don't have any choice to use them.

On the other hand, I admit that FL Studio is not the #1 choice for Music Players because they want to use DAWS mainly for recording (not sound-designing, strange arrangements, etc.). They usually choose Reaper or other ones, dedicated for such needs.

Don't rush to use it. Nothing special in Ver20 that you can't do with Ver12. Wait for all the bugs to be solved. Good luck!

  17. Hit record, finesse an instrument ...and voila, you just both played and made.

I was thinking people would welcome it warmly and with open arms but instead as you saw just stoned me. Now I don't dare to come back to that thread.:bleh:

  19. This is becoming quite a thing. Either you are so far ahead of the curve that you are the future of mankind's relationship to music or else you might want to reevaluate your relationship to mankind in general. Copernicus, Giordino Bruni and Galileo didn't initially fare well, but in time they were embraced as revolutionary thinkers, and in fact Galileo is called "The Father of Modern Science". I wonder what acolytes are in store for you in the history books and what many honorary titles and degrees shall be bestowed upon thee...or not.

Non of them. Non of my methods works fine to make a deep music and trying other ones and this cycle repeats and repeats ... . I feel at the end I'll admit my failure. I'm getting ready for that moment. :bleh:
