only 3000 miles? NICE WORK! who's singing? at first I was hearing a lindsey buckingham but then around 2:20 mark song takes a turn in tone, the chorus big lanye staley harmonies :wink: Great job, good guitar sound & the vox are sensational :phunk:

tell us more if you can about the gear you use.
amazing voice, I like the melodies too.

    @black bounty

i think that i used a mojave 301 fet for vox into a great river.

a godin session guitar going through JDI (w/no buffer pedal though) into Phoenix DRS-1 XLR-in, then re-amped into a 5150 iii through 2x12 w/ Celestion v30s, then - miced with a Beyerdynamic m201.

Bass was Carvin B50 - into the DI of Sebatron vmp1000e.

No synths or electronics on this.

Drums were superior drummer 2. can't remember which pack, (maybe rock warehouse) but the drum choice (and parts) could be a lot better.

pulled up eventide "xxxxxxx" plugins and threw some presets on vox parts. lol

    ran the 2-buss through a TSL-4 shaving off 1.5-2.

and, the lyrics are a bunch of nonsense.

I will have to google half of the words of this post, thank you for that
I'm French, so honestly, even when you're bilingual, it's not the first thing you hear, we have to pay attention,

    thx

@bluerover nice pipes... really digging the vocal harmonies you did... are they all you ?

gritty driving guitars.... and it does sound like you're channeling Lindsey Buckingham somehow... if I heard this randomly somewhere
I swear I'd think it was Fleetwood too in parts...

nice little pop rock gem you brought us to ring in 2018..... thanks for sharing..

@Herr Durr Thank you, Mr. Herr Durr. Yes, the vox harmonies were done by me with more rec/undo takes than I care to admit. You're right about the Fleetwood Mac. I had the chorus in my head and constructed everything else around that. I "NEEDED" to get that haunting fleetwood-esqe part recorded and out of my head. It was a good exercise in "self-theme-exorcism" for sure. hee hee.

Seems like you guys are onto something really cool here! It has the awesome vibes mentioned above with the classic rock and 90's flavors but also a modern feel in there as well, maybe the mix? The vocalist is really cool, it would be a crime if you guys didn't make an album...

Really like the vocal processing, I feel like a good mastering job could open this up more and make the low end bring this song's vibe more current sounding even.
