Hello my dear friends! Here's a little something I cooked up yesterday... Would love to hear your critiques for the music and the sound.

    Many thanks! :)

  3. Hope certainly does! Your short piece helped to lift my spirit!

Since you asked...I would rather hear you playing the piano live rather than sequenced, warts and all as it would further express your human feelings. Also, I thought that the drums, when they made their entrance were a little subdued.

sounds like a car commercial for Bentley's or something...

j/k m8.. decent little sonata.. or whatever ye call them things..

hope springs eternal.. that I'll someday own one... sorry again slight refrain

my ears aren't good enough to critique the elements much when the whole sounds pretty good...
I'll leave that to @superliq... oh there he is ... :bleh:

Hello @Kinghtsurfer  & thank you for sharing

Excellent composition & a very positive feeling , that is what we need here
The human voice elements work really nice :)
Yes  Hope Springs Eternal  :keys::keys::keys::keys::keys::keys::keys::keys:
If you ever do the composition again try to soften the attack of the lower notes of the piano, or use a more realistic sounding one, also play with the velocities, hope this makes sense.

Thanks @superliquidsunshine , @Herr Durr & @Spyfxmk2 for the listens and comments... Much appreciated...:)

    Thanks @safran5020 for the :like:

@superliquidsunshine ... Very happy it brightened your mood... Just what i set out to do... :yes:Thanks for the suggestions for improvement... Though I gotta say, my piano playing skills are not upto standard to run this entire 2 minute track (unless I practise the passage a lot) But I totally get your point...

@Herr Durr ... Haha... Believe me, if they place this music in a Bentley commercial the beer/whisky/gaanja/cocaine/ecstacy/etc... Is on me... :) thanks for the listen and the kind & funny words...

@Spyfxmk2 ... Thanks friend for the kind words and the spot-on suggestion to improve the piano part... I will surely be doing this...:) in fact, I feel silly for not having done this already...

All these suggestions are why I love getting feedback at AS... Theyre constructive and friendly and most importantly, VALID! :)

I like the tune, nice elements, well done.
When it comes to the sound I would use less velocity on piano most times. Would make it sound more intimate. I'm not a friend of the solo string sounds (too harsh for my taste) and there seems to be a pretty high low cut on the drums which cuts off the punch.

Thank you @foster911 ... Yes... Your 17th century piece has been a HUGE influence on me... But its complex musicality was too much for me to handle... So, like a coward I dumbed down my composition to use only white keys on the keyboard... I hope you can forgive me... :)

@saltwater ... Thanks for the listen and the thumbs up! :)

Bach was first (with his ridiculous wig) and unfortunately my identity remained unknown and no one paid attention to my scores. I'm so happy that at least one person discovered them. But where did you find them? :bleh::hug:

I have a time machine... I just entered the era (17th century) and then, entered the following in the search field - "Find music from 17th century that does not adhere to any theory or musical rules"... And BOOM! There was you...

I wrote that blind piece after giving like to your beautiful piece in just 1ms. You can do the same without adhering to anything.:bleh::hug:

Certainly sounds like it... :hahaha:(just joking)

But seriously though... Even when I had zero knowledge of theory/ rules my compositions would follow them more likely than not... Am very mainstream that way... I know that doesnt please you... But there it is...

Nice one, nice work. "Has a soul". Clean.
Perhaps a little more work needed, for the sound material.

Really like this track. In a perfect scenario you could totally hire a cello player and other session musicians and really turn this into a masterpiece, my opinion

    Hi knightsurfer,
I listened to this a week ago but forgot to comment it. I'm relistening again and I'm even more happy to say that you really made a wonderful classical/instrumental piece here. the voice that follows the melody is a nice touch i wasn't expecting it ^^

    congrats
