I dig windows 10 (7 too, everybody calm :P), but it's peculiar.
I've the v1709 build 16299.16 (I think) and I don't update nothing but some security patches every now and then manually and offline with the WSUS utility.

Also, it's starting to bother me that after several years (4?) Windows 10 is still not as stable as it should. For instance the v1709 to v18XX update breaking things like the topic of this thread.

actually the win10 will always have the same activation problems with vst and daw software, AFTER EVERY major update.... so prepare for the next updates..

 

I couldn't get it to work, but no idea if this is 1803 related. Haven't used it since.. 2015? =) Maybe. I can re-register it, but it freezes when I try and click on anything in browser. x64 host, OS, bridged and not, AoN version (& whatever other group cracked it). Pretty sure it's no "activation" problem, cos both versions regged (and had no other reg probs so far; cross wood).

Yeah, my main pc (desktop) is an offline win7 machine. But I like to have a secondary laptop setup for on the go/killing time reasons. And my laptop is win10. So I just turn update services off and manually update what I really need. I always install as admin. Works great so far for me.

 

FIX FOUND FOR USERS WHO USE THE AOT CRACK - The only Version that works for Sylenth1 out of them all is the "32 Bit lt version" (thank god best sylenth1 skin) Until then we're waiting for sylenth1 v3.0

 

Good thing I have stopped using Sylenth1 years ago and moved on to modern, better sounding synths.

 

Please stop claiming you can't produce with win 10 and people must go back to win 7,I have like a lot of other people win 10 and everything is working for me.
I had some minor bugs but everything is fixed now.

Are you using Windows Defender and Firewall? That's the primary culprit in Windows that disables cracks behind your back. Less likely is one of the application compatibility checker services or Windows Update scanned your files for known cracks (and congratulations, MS now knows you pirated Sylenth).

Ironically you're safer running pirated Windows than legit Windows because that's the only way to stop this Microsoft treachery. I'm running Windows Enterprise and KMS I dl'd from you know that My * Life forum most people know about AFAIK. It's clean, it works, most importantly no forced updates, no mandatory security & theft of my data by Microsoft. I disabled all the MICROSOFT BULLSHIT, it took a few days to get all of it that's how bad it is, now there's nothing deleting my files and telling me what I can and can't run.

 

Same problem here. Windows 1803! Damn! Works fine until it stays in demo mode, after that it freezes the daw (Studio One 3)

If you had this problem as I did there is not much you can do about the licence file itself. However there is an easy way to get sylenth working again (providing that you are willing to downgrade back to win10 1709).
The Method:
1. Backup any data that has been altered since the last upgrade onto a drive other than the C: drive (duh)
2. Open Settings/Update And Security
3. Click on "View installed update history" and then "Recovery options"
4. Select "Go back to the previous version of Windows in Windows 10"
5. Follow the instructions
6. Your PC will downgrade back to 1709 and reboot
7. Open Sylenth in your DAW and viola

 

Ideally you would also want to disable Windows 10 updates so that this doesn't happen again.

An interesting post BUT I won't call it ideal when you disable the whole update functionality unless your PC is offline (won't download updates anyway ).
A better war to deal with those function updates is to set the installation way to the future, so you can decide when to install it.
And of course everyone should do regular backups so you can revert to a prior windows version.

P.S.: I've disabled updates on one of my machines (update is corrupted but never stops to try updates again and always fails). No method to disable updates works permanatly. After a while, days or weeks, updates reenable themselves.
But I didn't test the method setting up a group policy, so I'll try that.

oh yes...... for the next 1000 MS updates, we can use this threat here for all the next "sylenth dont run under win10" problems... just write the update nr here, and hey, ANYONE can buy the sylenth1 synth, and help the developer which is a a small company..

btw the problem is with the old licence file, which can be modified for any win10 update, which some of you should do if you use win 10 for your bedroom music studios, as i said earlier.... just noobs use win10 as DAW os.... (as i said 100000000 times bvr)

 

I'm on Win7 64 and never had any problems with Sylenth 64bit until recently. One day for no apparent reason if I wanted to use Sylenth 2.2.1 I had to generate new license over the previous one, after each Windows restart.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

 

Do you have avast as antivirus... My sylenth wont work when avast sheilds are enabled I have to disable avast before using sylenth

 

I updated Windoof 10 today to 1803 and yes it stopped working on Ableton Live 10 and Bitwig. Dont know what this plugin has to do with Win10.

yep. that cracked license no longer works on the new win 10 update. Time to crack the newest version, though I bought Serum and really haven't used Sylenth1 in a year so maybe I won't miss it.

I have solved the problem with jBridger, just install sylenth 32 bit and bridge Sylenth1.dll with jBridger from 32 to 64bit
