Hmmm... Strange. Actually I like knobs and controllers in 4th much more than from 3d. And generaly new look is way more better for my taste(well, seems "taste" is a key word).
btw If someone don't like how letters look like, just drag contrast to zero(espesially if you're using reversed gamma).

It's such a small thing tho, if I'm copy pasting an effect from a different channel I think it's safe to assume I want the automation also, at the very least a small box could pop up and ask if I want to copy the automations like in Logic.

I use Live 10 as my main daw which funnily enough has a different but similar problem with return tracks (having to copy paste group automation -filtering mainly- onto the return track because sends bypass the group).

 

There are some more video's on the Chord track out there and it looks very very nice, it's a feature you'll soon see all the major DAW's copy. Do demo S1 first as it may not fit your workflow, and when you demo make sure to set the shortcuts to Logic, it will make using S1 a breeze, in fact I still use the Pro Tools shortcuts in S1 as I came from PTHD, lol. That small feature makes getting up and running in S1 sooooooooooo much faster IMHO.

 

What's so funny? I'm a multi-platinum pro who buy's software and I post here. This is a solid forum with quality music people, please don't judge everyone based on your expectations.

 

Cubase is a seriously powerful badass DAW, but all that power comes with a learning curve so demo first IMHO.
S1 is inspired by part Cubase, part Pro Tools, part Logic, part Reaper, and part FL Studio......... and part none of them. Today there is not one DAW that is 100% original, lol. Everyone takes the best ideas from each other and implements them in their own way. IMHO without Cubase we would not use midi the way we do or VST's, without PT nobody would edit audio like we do, without PARIS & PT we would not record the way we do, without FL Studio we would not have fast workflows, without Live nobody would have warping or clip edit, without Studio 1 nobody would drag and drop anything, without Reaper we would not care about efficiency, etc......

All the DAW competition is better for the end user as it keep a company working hard or lose out, just check Avid stock price to understand, lol.

As always, to each their own.

This is the inital release of the Chord track, I know a scale snap type feature will be requested moving forward. My bet is a button will be added to allow only chords in the selected key to be available, it just makes too much sense to offer that feature like Sundog, Scaler, Instachord and the other chord plugin/programs have.

 

That is correct. You forgot Cool Edit Pro 2.0, it offered sounds beyond cool.

no of course not, studio one 3 keygen is for version 3, why would it work on 4

 

Implementing it would lead to divisive behaviour of copying/pasting inserts or even instruments, because parameters are linked once you copy the plugin even if you reset your preset after copying it. If you want the same automation of a parameter within the insert you want to copy, somebody won't. Probably there are more people that are ok with taking 5 extra seconds and have complete control over what they want to copy, so maybe that's why it's not been implemented yet.
Mind you, if you do clone a channel you'll copy automations as well.

 

I do hope the keygen is released soon. Of course if I had the available cash I'd buy SO4 PRO but then I'm only buying the license to use it at $460. If I was to make that purchase for that price I'd want the software and soundsets on a usb dongle/disc, a printed manual, all in a beautiful presentation box. The limitations of 5 installs I get otherwise we'd purchase one copy between us all and everyone could have it. Fingers crossed!

Is R2R working on their version?

 

The latest keygen can generate a valid license, but it can not patch the exe because there is some new - and therefore different - hex values which can't be reconize, so you must patch it manually.
