Hey all. On a mac running High Sierra 10.13.4 and can't figure out for the life of me how to convert a .bin which keeps unzipping to a .cpgz file. I remember back a few years that this was possible through an app. that was real popular in this community. Haven't done it in a while and need my memory jogged. any suggestions would be great....

 

Yeah... I had a sure-fire way @ 5yrs or so ago... but haven't had to do it in a long time. Seems the popular app that burned discs that I had used has changed. Can't figure it out... or when it does happen... I forget the steps I just took! Believe it or not... Google has provided many the answer. And all WRONG!!!

I tried the above but it just keeps looping into a zip then cpgz file ....

 

By memory, in the past,I remember I managed to open/mount .bin files with Toast ?

 

That's correct: Toast can open . bin files, i used to do that myself.
I bought Toast many years ago but lost my license number so i am not able to use it on my newly installed OSX High Sierra system.
Thats why i looked over and over again for a freeware OSX utility just to open . bin files but all search results didn't make it happen for me.
