It's all a bit: there was not a dry seat in the house! Kinda. Even the stuff I objected to seemed gratuitous and unfair and jelly: you're not allowed to use virtuosity, @taskforce it's cheating! :D ditto @mozee & that Peter guy! totes unfair! XD

Similarly, I wanted @safran5020 's gorgeous bluesy masterpiece to play less nice and have Beefheart's bayou swamp sweat dripping from a wax cylinder, and lots of hiss and distortion all over the place! =) It needs to be dirty af, not nice and clean!

Anyway all the tracks have lovely moments of hat-tipping and grins. (Well, mine excepted. Too predictable I guess!) It really is impossible to single out any track, because you'll have a new fave in a second, kinda thing...

I will have a listen soon hopefully.

Once again, very grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of this.

Oh and by the way, the cover album reminds me of some Blue Notes records: very well done @Beth!

Wowoweewa... Thank you all for your lovely comments, i am humbled really ...
This album feels great, gotta love the diversity in it. I'm still letting it sip in, i 'll let you all know my favs later on :)
Very good job in mastering, beautiful and stylistic artwork. I know the priest first blesses himself but wtf, this beats commercial releases for real lol.
Thanks for making this happen, all the best :)

I was such an huge honor to work with ALL you guys.

I would like to thank @Spyfxmk2 for his unstoppable vision on creating a this album and councelling, always being uplift, available for me and olymoon when needed. All this while managing to squeeze time in his business.

@Olymoon for being the manager and front gate to all the artists and the infinite amount of times I've asked him for the updates and then lost them. All this drowned in work.

Lastly I'd like to thank @Andrew @ArticStorm @Introninja @ned944 to help this album come to fruition.

Lastly, but clearly not least, I'd like to thank all the artists that dared to give their hard-worked tracks to a bunch of dudes in a weird (but so lovely <3) internet forum.

    Much love to all,
    GHS
    D.

Very well done guys, this is what music and this site is about, co-operation and collaboration. Reading this brings light to the world and sure beats viewing posts from self-important trolls. I look forward to listening this evening. :shalom:

Great playing on the taskforce track, but shouldn't it mention that it is a cover version? I think the others are original compositions?

    Great nick mate:wink:
Thank you for the quote
Obviously you are right, yes it is a cover, albeit with a twist (or should i say swing ehehe).
To answer as much as i can, as i wasn't involved in the making of the cover artwork, info etc:
The only but major difference to any other contemporary cover is technically this is a public domain track. As you probably know, the original dates back to 1938, is a French recording and it's beyond 75 years old, so it falls under public domain law. So practically it's the same as playing/recording any classical piece like Mozart, Beethoven etc, anyone can play it now, i just hope we did some justice to the well known tune. So perhaps the writers could be mentioned in the track info ? Anyway thank you again,
    Cheers :)
