Roland have just announced the update to version 1.10 for their boutique synths JU-06, JP-08 and JX-03. This will please many users, as these compact synths were missing a major feature when they were launched…

It’s all about control
The 1.10 update brings the ability to control all the parameters over MIDI using control change messages. Yes, CC is here at last! It’s such a useful thing and odd that Roland didn’t actually include it on launch. Now you can send and receive control changes, which is rather useful with a synth. For example, you can now draw in filter cutoff messages, LFO speeds or even envelopes on your DAW’s MIDI control page and your Roland JU-06, JP-08 or JX-03 will react to those CC messages.

LOL I don't even use those products and I am excited about CC parameters in them.
What moron does not allow CC or System Exclusive controls on their products!!!
Maybe they think the "Loop's POP Star" are the ones flocking to these things lol

I have an old Digitech 2120 SGS that has 1000 times more parameters to manually control then even a new Axe FX 2
I can do things on the 2120 that AXE FX 2 users would kill for.

Let me explain something simple as a RT modifier on the 2120
Start strumming the strings softly and you have a Detune with chorus and reverb
Attack the Strings hard and you have Distortion and Pitch Shifter and Reverb
This patch takes less than 1 minute to manually setup. It does this in real time with no latency!! back and fourth .

In real time from 1997 !!! Try that on any new FX unit LOL.

 

Cliff from AxeFX mentioned the ' mixer ' and ' modular ' concepts came from his Digitech TSR-24 from the mid 90's.
I believe the modular concept is even pre Eventide? I could be wrong.

 

I wonder if Spectrasonics had anything to do with it as well. It seems rather odd that they just announced support and demoed it last week in the new beta.
