Looking for a ways and advices on how to improve this track. It`s not yet finished. For me it sounds like everyone else`s track, no personal, unique touch of me :) But its only my opinion, it`s subjective cause i listened to this thing 10000 times already.
What do you think about the orchestral parts? Does the track overally sounds good? How about variations? Is it boring?

Empty master channel and not final mixdown.

    P.s very quite :D

The orchestral parts sound very flat and synthty and fake, sorry :( The electronic bits sounds fine, even if I don't like trap, this sounds pretty cool.

thanks for your honest opinon :)
how to make it sound realistic and fat then? Maybe adding extra layers of other sounds or it needs proccecing?

This is an excellent track... The trap/ electronic bits are pretty well done...

The problem lies largely in the longish intro section... The orchestral parts sound very general midi... You could remedy this by using better orch libraries and by layering the sounds to imitate a true orchestral arrangement...

    Good job! :like:

    Thank you,

I use Sessions Strings Pro for strings and a Kontakt Factory Library for brass. Which good libraries would you suggest, no matter free or not?

Thank you, glad to read that, But which part do you call "second part" ?:)

Session Strings Pro is a good library... not very sure about the Kontakt factory library quality for brass... never used it... For brass bits, I usually go for Symphobia or Orchestral Brass Classics... but I am not the best person to recommend orchestral libraries ... am sure others are better informed...

Another reason its not sounding convincing is because it sounds like its been programmed using a keyboard and MIDI notes... it lacks dynamic range... it sounds very unidimensional... please consider layering with different voices and playing with velocity values in your MIDI editor... Also, perhaps give it a better space (reverb) to breathe in...This intro sound needs to match up to the excellent electronic part that follows...

Please note, these are all just suggestions I can think of and may not actually be of any help... :)

    All the best!

I tried to add a little bit randomness with Ableton`s Velocity plug-ins, but yeah, still sounds too machinery. Thanks for your opinion.

    - double and EQ (whilst listening to the whole mix) your brass arpeggios with one or several synths maybe

    - double your strings an octave up or down, or up or down by a 5th ( try what works to your ears )

    - they definitely need more volume, EQ and reverb

    - maybe try symphonic series brass ( or cinebrass ) to keep the whole thing homogenous

all in all, it’s a good track, make stems once finished and keep working on the final mix / mastering, it deserves a good treatment

Yeah, there are so many things to do on this track yet.

Which brass are you talking about? I have 2 different Brass tracks, one is in intro, the sustain brass and one is brass stabs.

I used, vln, vla, cello, and another vln octave higher, if I add more won`t they clash?

And what about the harmony string? You`ve probably heard that high string playing +5 I think. For me sometimes it sounds wrong :D

I was talking about the stabs. maybe try to add a voice 1 octave higher

not if it's the same notes but at different octaves.

between 0:40 / 0:55, it would be great to use a glissandi with he staccattos, check if your soundbank allows that

add one or two of the same octave down on the track

try also a different amount of sends than the dry mix from your orchestral sounds to the reverb track.
( i.e : if your brass stabs are at a higher volume than the strings staccatos, try to dose the amount of string you send to the group reverb track higher than the amount of brass, dose also the dry / wet signal of the reverb )

Added some extra layers, added saturation, lil bit of compression, some tweaks with reverb, delays etc. played a littlbe bit with velocity And tried some mastering attempt.

For me sounds a bit overcompressed.
    what do you think?

A lot better now. The orchestra could use some low freqs and more orchestral kind of reverb.
The whole thing is missing punch, so yes, it's overcompressed.
