Does anyone know how to fix this error? I noticed it's common on windows 8 but i'm using good old win7 so i'm not sure why it appeared. When i try to run kontakt either the standalone or from a DAW it crashes and shows Bex64 error, no changes have been made to the PC and no other versions have been installed that could have trigerred said error, it simply came out of nowhere, here are the details:

do you have razer synapse software installed ? try to deactivate it if so

 

thanks but no, it's a pretty clean machine, it has a couple DAWS installed, bitdefender, ccleaner and thats pretty much it.

 

Maybe try disabling some windows startup programs. Bit Defender and Ccleaner if they are active. I prefer using portable applications with a clean start-up.

 

Is there a particular reason why you are using the 5.6.1.48 version? Have you tried the latest 5.8?

Also:

- Is Windows fully up to date? [If not make sure it is]
- Do you have Visual C++ 2013 re-distributables installed? [If not install it from here https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=40784]

If any of the above is not working, make sure you re-install Kontakt because it seems that somehow the .exe got corrupted.

 

thanks everyone, i solved it, it was a program called Qustodio, didnt think about it at first cause it's not a firewall or anything but i uninstalled that one and everything is fine again.

 

I know this has been resolved, but I would recommend everyone (or just windows users at least) to grab the recently released kontakt 5.8 portable. The fact that it's portable makes things so much simpler and easy to use. I've been running it on my windows 7 64 system with presonus studio one 3.5.4, flawlessly.
