Unbelievable... in the last few days (on the sister site) there has been a slough of Omnisphere patch/preset libraries from unknown "sound designers" that have websites with no demo's.

Now, all of them seem shady to me now, because of that. I think they are purposely not providing demo's or Soundcloud links because the presets are just re-packaged presets from established sound designers. Just my suspicion...

Why would they omit a demo??
Why would we (the consumer) be expected to pay money for something we can't hear first!!!???

Anyway... it's just my thought/opinion. I have no real evidence but I was still inclined to email those "sound designers" and I let them know how stupid they were for not providing evidence of their product or that it even exists.

demo is lot of work, you have to arrange it, find the right combination and right ordering, this takes just to much time.

Vandalism shamlessly copied presets and they even made a demos for it.

i think the reason is that when you make the presets cheap, people will buy them without an audio demo, you saved time and the buck is still running despite no demo.

    May I suggest
"Dear so-called sound designer! While perusing my favorite warez website for Omnisphere patches to pirate, I chanced upon your so-called work: patches I strongly suspect to be derivative (if not outright repacks) of existent patch banks by decent, established sound designers.
The thought of you exploiting the work of others, without recompense or consent, fills me with indignation and righteous fury!"

I was thinking the same thing also i think it takes more money to upload audio directly to your website. Which means they would have to make a social account just for demos. You definitely have to give credit to DrumVault for always providing demos:)

why would somebody even want to buy omni libs? i mean omni+trillian+(keyscape) already have so many presets, that you can spend an entire day just clicking next without playing.
but its maybe the feeling, hey i own something new ... ?! (not critic or anything, just observation)

At a certain point it may be too much, but i like omnisphere libraries because they usually revolve around a certain genre. The ones at drumvault are always right for me, for example the echo falls bank ive used alot for the music i create which is hiphop/rnb and i dont like to go through crazy amounts of presets. I noticed though that alot of the presets from publishers may actually just be layered patches or patches with just a few changes.

That has to be the most stupid excuse I've ever heard. The fact that you condone it has made me lose even more respect for you.

Everything in life... that is worth a shit, takes time AND hard work to accomplish. The reward is the success ($$) you reap from your hard work. Being a lazy piece of garbage doesn't entitle you to shit.
That's why I wouldn't even fathom spending a nickel on a business that doesn't put forth the effort. "Show me how good your presets are!!"
If you don't want to spend a day assembling a playlist of demo's (that your friends made for you) on Soundcloud to sell YOUR shit, then fuck you and your stupid fake "business".
Because there are plenty of other companies that care enough and are proud enough, to show off their designs. It's those companies that I will spend my money on. Even so, you still never know what you're getting until you have the entire thing in front of you.

But to think that a person has to spend the time to install these libraries (manually) just to demo them, then uninstall them because they were shit to begin with, just wreaks with a big "fuck you" from me!! It's not like I NEED another O2 library anyway... that's why it behooves these imbeciles to invest in themselves if they want to make money... NOBODY really needs another O2 developer/library when there are so many good ones already on the sister site over the last 2 years.

Aside from that... not many will best Matt Bowdler (The Unfinished), Søren Hybel (Luftrum) and John Lehmkuhl (PlugIn Guru) but many will surely steal their presets and repack them for sale... without a demo. I also buy all my presets now from the above-mentioned sound designers because they are worth EVERY penny spent on their work.

    Have a nice weekend...

Wow... to blame a synth's incredible contributions (mentioned in another post) by amazing sound designers for your poor buying decisions is sheer ignorance. Either that, or you have no clue what you're doing and working with.

ive done like 20 audio demos and its really not funny to get it perfect, how many have you done?
I know that the audio demo is really important, as you can see when you check out vengeance audio demos, they are perfect, or luftrums for example, coul name more here.

its not a day, it can take a week if you really want to have it perfect. jeez, you shouldnt talk about stuff you have never done.

sure all these three the best for more experimental sounds, of course.

    wtf dude ...

that may be true, but none of those libraries that were uploaded in the past few days are cheap. $40 for a set of presets that you have no idea what they sound like? that's ridiculous. and not one of them included any new sample material. all were based on the factory sample library. as a comparison, all of pluginguru's 14 preset libraries that rely on the factory sounds cost only $35 and there are numerous audio demos to listen to for every one of the 14.

I disagree. Many programmers like Matt Bowdler, John Lemkhul, Simon Stockhausen, Midissonance, Plughugger, Triple spiral audio, Ilio and some other less known have absolutely top notch librairies that are worth a purchase. Presets inspire songs. So the more the better. Especially if they are indeed inspiring...

I think all began with the new "trap" producers that are flooding youtube with tutorials, 99% of them are using Omnisphere and Electra ( you'll see more electra2 presets coming ). There is a YT channel ( Internet Money ) that host trap bedroom producers that have made it to the top chart and they are creating presets and samplepacks like crazy. ( Nick Mira, Taz Taylor, KC Supreme, WavSupply.net ) Etc

I'm pretty sure they don't upload demo's and they won't because they don't need to. They have created a movement among younger producers that will buy anything they post. IT's like all Cymatics/Academy.fm tutorials and samplepacks they are all freaking everywhere because they found the right market to be in. Plus, they have a good amount of followers/ but at least they hire good producers to make demo's that will make you want to buy their stuff.

I guess that's what it is, just my two cents on this one.
