How many of you participate on free online courses? And how do you feel about them, in good and bad?

I myself have been on coursera.org few times, if time has allowed.
I find it good place to learn, especially with the homework and tests(not only watching and reading stuff)

That link sounds interesting. "We focus on the spectral processing techniques". I always liked to learn more about it, but "10 weeks of study, 8 hours/week" is quite long and "All the assignments start from some existing Python code that the student have to understand and modify. Some programming experience is necessary.", I don't even know what a Python code is, so...

Music courses that give you professional insight are surprisingly rare on the web even on YT. Professionalism needs practice, trial and error and pondering by the person himself and those courses just shed faint light on your path.

If you watch 10 millions of them, the only things you can get are the basic ideas and general guidelines. It only depends on yourself how to find out to deal with the problems.
