rather limiting with very low attack and release, allmost none.
usually not more then 6 db destroys the program material with hard clipping,
hence the soft- part.

TDR Limiter (has a flexible and quality clipper module), Kazrog Kclip when you want it to be a little dirtier than the TDR clipper

 

recommended, this thing is a beast. Also Melda's MUltraMaximizer has a super nice saturation unit with several modes including 3 different soft clipping modes

In fact it's like a soft saturation that reacts on transients.I don't use these plugins.Maybe I should have a look on this!
