Are these scale sheets correct (FROM ART OF REMIX)

I'm confused? That's not natural minor? or is it

 

they are wrong, probably they think that dj's should not know too much of music. The major is ok, the minor is the ascending melodic minor mode.

to explain: cosider A minor, for ease and then transpose all the intervals on other starting tones:

minor natural

ABCDEFGA

melodic ascending: (melodic minor is different if u go up or down, that's simply a musical use)

ABCDEF#G#A

melodic descending: same as natural.

minor harmonic:

ABCDEFG#A

of course the sheets contanis a kind of minor scale, but if you play ascending will sound much better than descending. when you descend you should play 6th and 7th degree lowered one semitone.

i know it sounds more complex in words than it is in music. i advice you not to take care of those shitty supermarket american methods and talk to a true good musician. will show you that music theory is fun and important for music.

Just clarify things there are several minor scales, which are derived from the major scale
