Thanks for this tutorials, it could be the right way to solve my problem; I'm trying to load some not too recent libraries (without .ninct file and wallpaper, zero-g rise and woosh, soundiron percussions) with the .ninct method using mini-ninct, but I see that they all create an .xml file with same snpid number (00c), even if the one I gave them was different. I don't understand why. Obviously they all don't load and search for the same (first installed) .ninct file
I'm on win 7, and Kontakt is the last version (the PiRAT one not requiring kgen........). Everything else is working fine, tryed to delete .xml, database and reup, but it seems that somewhere lead to the creation of an indipendent xml file
Suggestions?

 

On the MINI-NICNT window, on the third step, begin for f01. f02, f03, f04, f05, f06... until f99.

And if you create your own NICNT you don´t need to include nothing in <Company> field....................................................................

You say to start from F..........I started from A, and the three libs were CG2, CG3, CG4,......I don't know the reason of your suggestion but I'll try it

I made 1700 NICNT files so... I think I can say which combinations are not usual.... The same way as if you begin for 01f until 99f... With 2000 libraries you have to think about the next group lots of times....

You can take a look at the thread "Kontaktt wallpapers requests and comments". We are there usually.....

I just posted ~150 company master tab library files and wallpapers in the main request/wallpaper thread, starting here:

Hope these will help those who organize their libraries by company like I do. It's made things so much cleaner.

Everything tested and working in Kontakt 6.3.1.

Like, how is it better to scroll a bunch of picture art rather than a text list in the database?

 

For me, it's better than scrolling through 300+ libraries, especially if I want to access stuff by company (even filtering for a single company could result in 20+ libraries). If I just want certain tags, I can use the database.

Edit: I should also note that the fewer visible libraries you have, the faster Kontakt loads. I was waiting 10+ mins before, and now it's down to <2 mins, with everything still accessible via the library screen.

Dayum! That ain't right!
I mean, I know that the more we put into Quickload, the longer it takes to load...
I have TBs worth of libs from the last 15 years, and it opens instantly.
