    Hi everyone,

I can't get Sylenth1 to work like it used to ... I'm currently on Win 10 64 bit and using the good ol' Cubase 5 (it just works for me). My old system was running Win 7 64 bit with Cubase 5. It used to work pretty smooth there - besides that I had to use some kind of "Nima" skin/version otherwise everything would freeze instantly if I loaded the normal Sylenth1 entry. Who cares, it worked.

Now on Windows 10 I tried several releases, getting the "thank you for trying ..." message everytime:
    - LENNAR DIGITAL SYLENTH1 v2.2.1.X Army of Ninjas-thing
    - LennarDigital.Sylenth1.VSTi.v2.202 (which should include an AiR keygen, but there is none ... so :( )
    - Team VTX Presents: LENNAR DIGITAL SYLENTH 2.2.1.1 PROPER

As I searched the web I ran over some instructions like running the setup in Win 8 mode and stuff, but it all resulted in demo mode.

So... i'm not bitching that I don't get the latest Nexus + expansions for free ... it's just that i would like to run the same piece of software on Win 10, that I used on Win 7. If cracking time is over then it is, but at this point I'm more like that there's something I did wrong, maybe.:dunno:

Help appreciated! Maybe someone could just point me to the "correct" release in the first place, lol.

    Thx, Cheers!

You've not really said what's happening, but I had a problem with Sylenth1 not loading. Switching anti virus off before opening DAW sorted it. Hope you find a way. :)

Oh, what's happening is that I get an audio message saying "thank you for trying this demo" every few minutes. ;) Besides that i can use Sylenth. That was of course not the case on my old system.

Antivirus is turned off, btw. Windows defender as well.

That will be the next step ... Not sure, if my new gear will even run Win 7.

You mean "own" or ""own"" ? ;)

btw: I also tried Ableton Live as a host. Same problem...

Windows 10 defender is a beast on cracks. Just did a clean install and thinking of installing a lite version of win 10 from majorgeeks.

I've just tried FL Studio 12 64 bit as a host and running sylenth1 64 bit and this one seems to work ...

    I had this problem myself.

Uninstall ALL Sylenth1 by deleting all Sylenth1.dll (Assuming you were on windows 7 and it worked)
    ReInstall Sylenth1
MAKE SURE YOU ARE INSTALLING THE 64 BIT VERSION
    Rescan Plugins
    Load the installed Sylenth1

If you already cracked it and were using windows 7 previously, this method will work

Yes. And it's a good idea to turn off defender and othe AV before installation. If .dlls and other files are deleted by AV while software is being installed, it won't heal any problems turning AV off afterwards.

Defender only defends PCs from working well. They turn actual PCs into 90ies machines instead.

I would always suggest to run a dedicated DAW machine w/o (or only parttime) connection to the internet and no AV or defender crap. If one could afford it.

BTW: I've had no problems neither with the cracked nor the legit version of sylenth1 on Win10, but my machine has no defender/AV

Another factor might be the version of Win 10 that you use. Maybe the newest update kills Sylenth1 right away, regardless of Windows Defender being active or not.

One of the Windows 10 updates messes with it. Search the forums. The reason I don't include the keygen is so there aren't 100 sylenth is in demo threads. My installer simply eliminates user error and places the auth with the dll. The method is the same team air auth that ppl have used for the last 100 years. The skin absolutely won't impact that. Also, don't install the 64 bit version. You may be on a 64 bit machine, but for some reason, you're using a 32 bit daw.

    ... the Ninja himself replied.

First off: Your release is fine, of course.
There is indeed no need for a keygen if the key file is placed automatically.
The skin issue only occured with a very old release that I used on my Win 7 machine, luckily there was no "demo mode" bug.
Regarding 32 / 64 bit: Yes, Im on Win 7 / Win 10 x64 and used the old 32 bit Cubase 5 because i never had problems and it was the last available "full" version of Cubase as far as I'm aware of. It came only as a 32 bit application i guess so I had to use it on my 64 bit machine and it worked. Therefore i had to use Sylenth1 32 bit, which failed.
On FL Studio 12 64 bit however, Sylenth1 64 bit (your release) works fine and that seems to be the best solution.

So I kind of have to disagree with the statement that Windows10 or Defender kills Sylenth1 right away. It doesn't. It still gives the oppurtunity to use it in a 64 bit environment.

I can confirm that this procedure works even on Windows 10 creators update:
    - download lennar.digital.sylenth1.v2.2.1.x.installer.2018.02.18.x86.x64-aon
*- rightclick , properties, set compatibility mode to Windows 8
    *- open as admin
    - install 32bit Version and Bridge via jbride

No "thank you for using this demo" nor crashes ! :)

(* don't know if These steps are needed)
