    Hey!
I produce electronic music, sometimes I need to record voice/acoustic or electric guitar.
My budget is the smallest as possible...I don't need so much quality, I usually strongly process with digital plugins the signal I records.
Now I have an AKG420, which is a condenser mic but I work in a home studio so I am thinking it's better to get a dynamic mic.
My idea is to sell my akg and get a smaller mic to save up some money to invest in other project.

    Ideas?

Really? Bad idea mate. Makes no sense. It will leave you with enough money to "invest" in a pair of pants lol.

IMHO you already have a nice mic for voice and guitar acc/elec! So selling it will not make a lot of sense!

  7. Keep the mic. You have three polar patterns and high SPL so can record a jet landing in your studio, no problemo. For the money you will get for it, you could by a Shure SM57 and have money left over for pants, but you won't have the omni pattern with its flatter frequency response for those brighter sources, nor the figure 8 to record hot twins singing harmony.

Ok guys, thanks for all the reply, I'll keep it in my studio.

And buy new pants with mom's pocket :)
