No-one is in trouble here, as we are tightening up standards, however:

This thread has been locked. Use of the DLL file in the manner used for skins here is a violation of Copyright. No-one is authorized to host any FL Studio installation files on any website.

Never seen a post like this before about theming...

 

It was an unwise move to create the thread in their forum as Audiosex is another dimension. Well, but once its out, its out, and attention seekers spread the word when being triggered. Hopefully we could fill enough ants in their pants already, to get them to take some wiser action so they start dropping cool skins as well.

 

I don't think Image Line cares about "skinning". Special if you have made a good job with the GUI, maybee they grab some ideas from you to use in the future.
The real problem here is this... If you change the skin of demo (DLL) and share it, that`s ok. But if is not a demo (DLL) and you have share it, someone that doesn't have the program license now can use without restrictions...
So the copyright makes total sense.

Another thing that makes sense is this: After 20 year they could made much better job with the program layout, and specially... Add real time audio editing like every other DAWS have.

Good news is they are going to do it them-selfs soon,
The posts will still remain here i hope but any links will be removed by them,was fun while it lasted.

Update they removed all the skins,patches & how to skin vid links already
and users youtube vids about the skins are been removed as well.

I mean i am using skin in all my videos and they cant shutdown me. If they do shutdown then it will be like a scar on the face of creativity.

Lol and they do change their statement.

Earlier they were like its not possible to change the GUI

And now they changed it and made it like It "is not possible to modify the GUI without unauthorized changes to the FL Studio runtime code".

I think the time will come, and IL will understand that they need to work with two modes of operation, it is daytime, and night. This is logical. All yours, white, blue, pink red, it's fun, it's fun. But I work in this program, I need to feel comfortable, for example, in the dark. That's why I had to make a night theme, that would be comfortable. Because it was not done by IL, I hope that in FL Studio 20 there will be a night regime. Thanks to all who solved such questions)
