When I was trying to think of what to make to submit for the jazz influenced thingies, this was one of the doodles I was messing with. I have no intention of ever finishing it. No interest whatsoever in finishing it or revisiting it. So if someone else wants to mess with it and waste some time, so be it.

I finished a different one and submitted that one, it was much less ambitious and required less repeats to recordings. It had a simpler structure that tolerated a little slop much better.

I deleted the introduction because frankly I was stumped.

There is no mixing done, no EQ, no Comp, everything is pretty much down the middle for the most part. There are no effects. It was intended to be a bossa nova / jazz fusion, kind of ended up as IDK, meh.

I know that about half way into the track it starts getting phoned in, tennis elbow and carpal tunnel started up again and my interest in timing and arabesques went out the window. That's why am throwing it away, but it might have something useful in there for someone else. Even if it's just mess around and make fun of it. The MIDI for the keys and percussion is below.

That particular piece is not on Jazz time, it was carefully crafted on Johnnie Walker time instead.

My unexampled friend, let's not turn it into a personal issue. Killing your creativity and imagination just because you want to make sth that sounds jazzy is a big perfidy to the sacred engagement of making piece of art. One day Jazz was enjoyable because people didn't have much options but today you're GOD. You have not been forced to make an old art and pretend that you know everything and others not. By you I don't mean you but all of us. It's for our own good.

Compliment taken and as I said before - thank you.

I really mean that, I know the track is rough but there is still quite a bit of work put into it.The original idea done on the keyboard was pretty, but the ideas I had for bass and guitar were not that well executed. Some of it was due to me having a drink or two or three, but most of it had to with being older, being out of practice, and having abused my joints a bit too much in my younger days. I thought it had a nice base and someone else could use it, if I thought there was nothing there I wouldn't have bothered to give it away if someone wanted it and if it was finished then there would be no reason to give it away.

I meant no disrespect, I truly appreciate the compliment and the time you took to make it as well.

Here is the naked idea ... it's not mind blowing but it has some nice parts here and there.

Neither do I. But that's not the point. It was a joke. Allegorical Mother Russia is not really comin' on over, bayonets fixed, to grade your music. Not everything is a dig.
