Since I've been producing for a few years, it's been so long since I bothered looking for instrumentals that I don't even know where to look. Used to be a cakewalk to type in ________ instrumental in any media platform. Copyright craziness has made it significantly more difficult.

I just want to be able to write to some beats I know and enjoy without having to scour soundcloud for the one half decent producer in a thousand that doesn't litter the whole track with distracting vocal tags every five seconds. I don't even need to be able to download them but most of the stuff labeled as instrumentals on youtube is just amateurish recreations because all the legit videos got pulled for copyright claims. Lend me a hand here fellas. I'm out of the loop.

Hi. I'm not sure of any site. But have you try Band-in-A-Box?
I think the song-style and midi-library for Jazz/Funk/R&B/Blues/etc there could be useful for arranging your own hip-hop instrumentals, and then you can put beat on top of it. Just suggestion.

Beatstars has everything you could be looking for. You can search for beats by artist name or even genres. The beat player even has a built in app for writing verses.

I have now. Definitely is worth the checking, thank you.

Hell, I'll never say no to looking into more resources for producing, but for the moment all I was looking for was some stuff to write to. Theoretically, I'd build my own beat around the tempo and vibe of whatever I was writing to. It's not easy to write to a beat that I've spent 10-20 hours working on because by that point most of my inspiration has been sapped out, so this is purely for writing. Thank you for the suggestion though. I'll absolutely check this out.

I was not aware of any of them. I don't frequent hip hop forums and all that stuff. This is exactly the type of stuff I was looking for, just a starting point. Some shit I can buckle down and write to without having to worry about producing something ahead of time. Thanks bro.

I'll PM you a little later. I haven't been on much in the last day or two and I'm about to run again in a minute but lets explore this

Sometimes I write to some of the demos on producerloops.com. There are a few production sample pack makers whose style that I like and write to there. Just another suggestion.

[/ QUOTE]
