I have a 2nd gen 6i6 on windows 10 and it performs very well and I love it. I have my DJ controller running into the 2TRS ins and it sounds incredibly good as well. the mic pre-amps are really good and I love that it has 2 headphones jacks (1 to normal headphones and i broadcast bluetooth from the other with a taotronics unit to my wireless headphones). For the price it's really great.

I have a pro 40 for several years now. Also love it I know mine is not a 6i6 but it is a focus rite product.

 

Try it with your own headphones. Focusrite headphones amps are weak, so if you use a high end headphone with high impedance, it may not be enough for you.
