    Hi everyone..

    I tried with several tutorials, but i wasn't able to create a .nicnt file

    i also tried to modify an existent .nicnt file, as you can see down below..
    but if i change COMPANY, NAME or REGKEY, kontakt says "library not found".

    But when I leave the file as it is, it works !
    BUT .. this file belongs to another library !

    What should I do?
    Help me please !!!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH :bleh::bleh::guru::guru:

    Kontakt registers libraries by name, regkey by SNPID. The name and regkey are always the same and the SNPID tries to follow a correlation of numbers and letters so that they do not repeat themselves

    <Product version="1">
    <Company>Spitfire Audio</Company>
    <Name>ejemplo1</Name>
    <RegKey>ejemplo1</RegKey>
    <Type>Content</Type>
    <PoweredBy>Kontakt</PoweredBy>
    <Icon>kontakt</Icon>
    <Visibility>1</Visibility>
    <AuthSystem>RAS2</AuthSystem>
    <SNPID>C36</SNPID>
    <ProductSpecific>
    <Visibility type="Number">3</Visibility>
    </ProductSpecific>
    </Product>
    </ProductHints>

    Here's a video tut from GregB ....

    Go to AZ and search....

    TinyToolz Tracer

    Some handy tools there including a nicnt generator, which also lets you know if the snpid number you selected is being used by another lib or not.
    You can also use the snpid locator for this.

    Also search for KLM :winker:

    It's a good tool and it never hurts to have it.
    But if you're going to use nicnt files for adding libs you only need:
    - The nicnt generator, be it Tracer's or not
    - Another Kontakt tool by Tracer (don't remember now the name) that lets you edit the registry entries related to Kontakt libs (which is the main point of KLM aside from adding libs)

    [QUOTE = "babbo, bejegyzés: 311330, tag: 35905"] Hi everyone ..

    Számos oktatóanyaggal próbáltam, de nem tudtam létrehozni egy .nicnt fájlt

    Megpróbáltam egy létező .nicnt fájlt is módosítani, ahogy alább láthatja ..
    de ha megváltoztom a CÉGET, NAME vagy REGKEY, a kontakt azt mondja, hogy "a könyvtár nem található".

    De amikor elhagyom a fájlt, ahogy van, működik!
    De ez a fájl egy másik könyvtárhoz tartozik!

    Mit kellene tennem?
    Segíts kérlek !!!

    NAGYON SZÉPEN KÖSZÖNÖM : Bleh:: Bleh::guru::guru:

    Yes I agree, the nicnt generator from Tracer is a beauty and is what I use, and as I said above can be found at AZ by searching TinyToolz, and that post has all of Tracers Kontakt tools including the RegExplorer.
    I suggested the KLM not for nicnt, but just another Kontakt tool to try, however, It was not KLM I was thinking of it is KLO.
    I don't use KLM.
    Kontakt LibOrganizer is a fast and easy way of changing the order of your Kontakt library wallpapers, works well too.....:wink:

    With nicnt-generator and reg-explorer you're good to go. The latter in case you have troubles and want to delete libs.

    Also, check out librganizer in codefn42 as @Daz said

    You can add it manually to the registry (Windows). Both under Software/Native Instruments. One in Local Machine to add the location of the files and one in Current User to add the location in the library browser. When you do this it should show up in Kontakt automatically.

    Would anyone happen to have Tracer's TinyToolz apps that they could send my way? The download links on AZ have either expired or are otherwise really dodgy (usenet.nl in particular). Cheers!

    madsonix7 or karatebaka,
    If either of you'd be kind to send that Tracer's TinyToolz app my way too that would be awesome. I've tried klm above and it didnt seem to work, and my browser somehow wouldnt wanna load the link at AZ.

    Thanx a lot!

    it seems a never ending saga. These tools are useless for newer libraries, especially those made by Native Instruments.
    These tools will never clean your toilet, not even your registry/preferences, will just create more mess in your system.

    For old libraries you can try a workaround creating .nicnt files from existing ones but be careful when you choose it to be simple one that doesn't contain embedded wallpaper and other codes after the basic lines finishing with ProductHints closing line.
    For new ones you need the original file. If it doesn't work, it's because you did not get it from trusted sites like sistersite.
    Many times when someone complains about one of those famous prompt error-messages in Kontakt, after so many helping effort and discussion we almost always find out that the person had a broken (badly copied/downloaded) version from a torrent or some unknown sites. I really can't understand, if someone uses AS, how the hell can't that user get the library from the sistersite? why do they insist using torrent (or even some obscure selling scam-sites) still in the end of 2019? I'm just sayin'...
