Hi guys,

i cant get waves plugin works in S1 3 v3.5.4. (in my older version S1 3 v3.1.0.35191 it worked)

I've tried with VR and R2R and it crashes and the same problem appear:

Studio one has stopped working

yes, 64 bit vst3

 

I don’t use windows but I had a problem with the new waves update not working because I installed over the top of previous version the au worked but not the vst so I uninstalled waves completely and reinstalled and all worked again . It’s was something to do with having the old and updated au reg together that caused my issue . I’d try a clean waves install from scratch

Working here with no problems (Windows 7 x64 , Studio one 3.5.4 + Waves.Complete.v2017.11.28).

Do the following:

Uninstall Waves and delete:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves
C:\ProgramData\Waves Audio
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\WPAPI
C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Roaming\Waves Audio

And the registry under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Waves (delete the waves folder).

PS: If you don't know how to open the registry editor, press winkey+r to open the run window and type regedit .

To quickly open programdata and appdata type in the run (winkey+r) window:
%programdata% or %appdata% .

After reinstall the plugins and have fun.

Have you considered upgrading to the latest version? Waves does not work well with Studio One for some reason. The latest version
may have fixed this issue. Sonar and Ableton also have issues with Waveshell.

Download the latest Waves complete from the sister site.

or

Go to waves.com & create an acount. While there download the Waves Center app & install. Once your account has been verified, you can select the products by bundle, package or, single plugins that you want. Now start Waves Center & login. Now you can select to create an offline installer from the menu.If you try to use the 9.91 Waves Center it will ask you to download the latest version anyway before you can proceed.

Like i said previously, i don't have this problem. (Windows 7 x64 , Studio one 3.5.4 + Waves.Complete.v2017.11.28.Incl.Patched.and.Keygen.HAPPY.NEW.YEAR-R2R)
What is your system configuration ?
Have you updated your video card's driver?

Try this:
Rename the VST3 folder temporary so the plugins won't be scanned at start, open studio one and reset the plugins blacklist (studio one > options > locations > vst plug-ins > reset blacklist), rename it again and see if it solved anything.

 

Have you clean the blacklisted plugins in Studio 1/options/plug-ins ?
If not Studio one doesn't load again a plugin which have bugged last times.

 

Thank you all for helping, I've done everything you told me but it still doesn't work. today I installed the new version 3.5.5.45892 from the sister site but it still gives the error.

when I open the studio one notepad in:
C:\Users\Agustin\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus\Studio One 3
this is what it says:
VST3 bundleEntry/InitDll failed!
[Warning] (vstservice): Could not get Class Factory for C:/Program Files/Common Files/VST3/Waves/WaveShell-VST3 9.1_x64.vst3

I hope this helps. I am running Windows 10 64-bit with an AMD FX-8320 processor, 24GB RAM and a 1GB SSD. Previously I had my Waves plugins running in Reaper 5.2. The plugins are loaded as VST3 plugins.

I followed the advice by rootwits:

"Do the following:

Uninstall Waves and delete:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves
C:\ProgramData\Waves Audio
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\WPAPI
C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Roaming\Waves Audio

And the registry under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Waves (delete the waves folder)."

I made sure to delete all references to Waves. I then opened S1 without Waves installed and closed it again.

I installed my plugins from Waves Central 1.3.5.5. When I started S1 I received the message that a valid license for Waves could not be found. I continued and then closed S1 again. From Waves Central I moved my licenses from my PC to the Cloud and back again.

I now have all of my Waves 9.92 plugins loaded and working in Studio One 3.5.

 

It didn't work, I tested with the Waves Central version and with the version that doesn't require wave central (r2r v2017.11.28 ). Apparently it's not a waves exclusive problem because I recently installed Auto-Align (Soundradix) and the same thing happened, the VST3 version crashes and the VST2 version open but Gui is completely black, the same happens when I separate the waves plugins with shell2vst (each wave plugin in VST2), they open but the Gui is black. the odd thing is that in FL Studio works flawlessly.

PS: I have the latest video driver.

 

Maybe S1 vst3 plugins bug with somes plugins so you can try what you want it will never work because of S1

 

shell to vst? ..i always used it since R2R gave the solution
