Hey guys.
Starting to download files from rapidgator,ESET detected viruses and trojans as the uploaded pictures show.What is really going on?
1st .going to Peeplink :
2nd.downloading from rapidgator :
and 3rd scanning the files :

Any suggestions,what should I do ,especially with the trojan?

the scanner is worried about the link or the file? guess its the link and stuff that is contained inside the download page on rg??? if yeah ignore it

 

I dont have one a anti virus perse, but other tools, for example too monitor my network. Just be aware with everything you download on the internet, even Filezilla bring some shit with it. The pics you posted could be a trojan, or some bloat/adware kind.

 

rapid seems to me like one of the more benign sites, (even though 180 secs delay is a joke), peeplink are suckers. im getting a sore finger from closing all the pop ups and unders and all the other crap everybody keeps throwing at me. and how many 10th of a cent can they make per click? not worth spoiling everybodys experience

try using an ad blocker, then
download the file again, to a specific folder (not documents and settings whatever). then scan the file only. use other av software.
if it says unusual runtime packer its probably good, thats just av lingo for illegal.

It's about the file.Maybe it's because of the keygen?Can anyone confirm this.One that downloaded from the sister site?
But is there a keygen or a virus so big in size?(1.450.668)?

 

Upload the file to VirusTotal. It wil get checked by around 70 AV engines. I predict that around:
30% will say it is Trojan.Generic.blabla or Trojan.I.dont.know.ABCDE. There will be veery few known AV companies here
30% will say its malware, unwanted, suspicious or hacktool (which is btw true)...
40% will say it's totally clean. Big names. MS, Kaspersky, Comodo, ZA...

Great business making AV programs and get paid by big companies to flag the KG or whatever (red color is enough..)

So I'll ask you, what if you'd paid for the license of a great AV that flag this file as totally clean (green). You can buy yourself piece of mind. But I think you are looking for an answer that nobody can give you.

Don't get me wrong, this could be a hardcore trojan but if firms like Piriform can't protect their flagship products like CCleaner (with direct business deal with Avast to check their dispatches to millions), how can you be sure of anything when you fire up the net..?

 

I, and a lot of peolple I know, had that kind of virus alerts, too, but none of them has come true. Some of the AV tools just can't handle the keygens.

I disagree.ESET Nod 32 is one of the best and it's not free.

 

like artic storm already stated, binary packers/compressors create files that are recognized as trojans because av software creators assume that only evil people use them to hide evil code. if youre afarid you can unpack it and scan again. usually its upx'd. a good av should'nt report it at all - its like guessing and playing with numbers. your av is not very smart and you should uninstall it or get used to alerts using cracked softs.

eset provides you a link with threat information, did you check it in first place? what does it state?

btw: upx is also great to shrink your plug-in dll, common compression rates range from 75-50% or 25-50% of original size. long live the binary packers :D

180 secs are not predetermined by RG (I think its 45 or 60). The uploader can even turn the waiting time off completely or set it to 30 secs.
