The name probably doesn't mean anything to anybody younger than...40?
But to those that do know what I'm talking about, is anybody still actively using it or have access to it? Because as I understand, it's not possible to run it on a modern computer because it's a DOS only app. (I'm on Win 10 x64).

So my question is, would some kind soul be up to converting some Voyetra songs (.SNG) into MIDI files? I would be willing to pay a reasonable amount. I'm of course not rich, just a musician who found these ooold files on a backup drive and am really curious to hear what I was doing musically some 20+ years ago!?

Thanks. I sort of knew that already but, correct me if I'm wrong...I still need a Sound Blaster Pro to run it? If so, I'd need to buy one, (they are really expensive now +50€!? because vintage or collector's item I guess?). Then I'd also need an old motherboard with a ISA port to plug it in!?

So....back to my question, anybody running a working Voyetra system willing to convert some .SNG files to MIDI?
I imagine it's fairly simple and straight-forward process of just loading the .SNG in Voyetra and hitting 'Save As'?

Hi chumbo, how many .sng files do you need to convert to MIDI files? I still use Voyetra Sequencer Plus on a regular basis.

I also have the following .SNG files but I think you'll probably confirm to me that these are original Voyetra demo songs?

Hello, could not you install the Oracle VM virtualbox, run an xp version inside your windows 10 and install there the Voyetra?

This would all be absolutely free.

 

smys...the OS is not so much the problem. There is something called DOSbox which allows you to run DOS in Windows but there still remains the problem of the sound card. AFAIK, from what the webpage Recycle posted above says, it appears it will only work with a Sound Blaster Pro or Pro 2 card.
