Thanks for this! This is trully amazing...

But guys, I need a little help here...

Yes, Reaper is the out of the box DAW for sure, and it's extremely versatile but terribly unintuitive. It's very annoying to have to be constantly looking for tutorials on how to use this or that. Not that this is an exclusivity of Reaper, but I feel this is more common using it. I know one of Reaper's basic goals is customization. But it is annoying to the user who sees a certain custom configuration but not knows how to reproduce it.

Anyway, could you guys help me to put an "insert scale" item in the MIDI main menu (& Edit), as it appears here (on Mac)?

How to access this menu for windows users.jpg

I want to be able to easily insert all those exotic scales that only appear in Transport Bar by using right click!

If this is not possible, how can I create a shortcut to use these exotic scales menu by using right click?

Jus t in time, is it possible to to put some selected scripts in the top bar, same as Rob van Hees did with ChordHelper Tool?

    Menu Toolbar.png

    Please, see at:

    Note: I'm using Windows...

    Thanks for any help!

    Hi there Mynock,
I totally hear ya: Reaper is an awesome DAW but it's so customisable and configurable that many are immensely overwhelmed by it.
    (me included, several years ago).
It seems many times you have to be a rocket scientist to be able to use it and get the grips on it.

Anyways, maybe this helps you regarding the scales and chords you want in MIDI Editor:

Regarding your question about putting scripts (actions) as buttons in a Toolbar, maybe check this:

Please, have patience with learning/understanding Reaper.
It took me 2 years to finally have a feeling of real comfort using Reaper.
And in those 2 last years i used and tried things in Reaper and watched dozens of tuts and asked dozens of questions in the friendly Cockos- forum.
I stuck with learning Reaper such a long time cause i was beginning to see more and more that this DAW is just utterly amazing and can do so much that other DAW's totally can't especially regarding arsenal of functionality in both audio and midi area (abit simply put but thats the bottom line for me, using Reaper).

    Warm Regards.

Ubder the Actions menu, select Show Action, type radial in the filter box, select the (first) item
    Script: Lokasenna_Radial Menu Setup.lua
Select Run or Run & Close.

Select Keep the Menu Open in the 3rd set of radial buttons.
