    Anyone using Spark 2 ?
I have been auditioning some patterns and tried to use the Wav Export function from the sequencer tab.
Exporting to either audio track inside my DAW or to desktop creates a wav file alright but the result is mediocre. The sound is shopped and the pattern is incomplete.

Have you guys having issues with this ?

    Thanks

Yeah it's buggy. MIDI & audio issues. Gave up on this product long ago.

Have you tried Geist? Very similar but more flexable I think.

I have tried it a while ago but I had found it to "electro" (EDM) oriented . I should give it a more thorough tour though.
What I like about Spark is it has a lot of rare vintage beatbox sampled sounds.
    Thanks for the suggestion

No problem. Mentioned Geist because it not only has an extensive library, it loads wasv, aiff & rex. You are stuck with a proprietary sound sorce. Other than the similar features, you can also do sound design if that is your bag.

With all of the recent sample sets listed just in the past 2 months on the sister site, a new hard drive could be in order.

    Happy tracking!

I will most certainly give it a shot. I honestly had forgotten about this one.

One or "the one" should I say, beatbox samples that seduced me in Spark is the Ace Clone FR-2L. It brought back memories...
My dad had bought this thing in the late 60s for my 7th birthday. I was playing organ at that time, on a Thomas organ with an internal Leslie.

  7. I have the SparkLE hardware and it will no longer load the software as the gui us not recognized for some reason.

    Arturia is going down...
Instead of FIXING their software, they simply release a NEW version... and still buggy.
This is not serious. I seen this attitude for years, and it started with their "factory" plugins and hardware.

spark2 was/is buggy for me. it particularly does not like drag and drop midi ( although it does wav files perfectly.
it's a shame. it has/had potential. like another poster i am now a Geist Fan. ( although i upgraded to 2 and it's far less reliable and buggy). i always have my old copy of reason for all that if i get stuck. some of the drum machines are really nice. and it has that multi rex player which is sweet). are spark going down the pan? i notice a fair bit of criticism against some of their synth emus....

Strange, for me it is the opposite, drag & drop works perfectly with midi but doesn't work with wav :dunno:

Are you saying that Geist 1 is better (more reliable) than Geist 2 ?

Sorry to hear about Spark. I hope you find solution asap. Like everyone others, I too +1 for Geist. Geist and Syntronik are my latest new addictions. So warm and analog.

Check this link showing Geist 2 (roughly 8 - 9 minutes long):

Think of Geist as Kontakt vs most other sampler software. I like Geist for what it does.
Respect Kontakt, just don't like it :)).

geist 1 runs smoother for me. i cannot speak to others experience.
i never had a crash with version 1 whereas 2 has been slightly less reliable. on the whole it's fine, so maybe it's just my setup isn't good enough. geist is great because
    a) you can load nearly every sample format out there.
    b) it's a 'proper' sampler ( when used with splitter).
the one major bone to pick on: the interface.
in v2 it's all over the shop. windows which were well design in v1 are a bit 'elastic-y' and a little jerky.
perhaps you also need a really good graphics card too : )
i hope they issue an update soon.

I have to try it seriously. I have several important criteria: I need natural drums, not only electronic or pre-produced sounds. And I need it to be easy to drive with midi pads. The sequencing part is irrelevant for me as I prefer to use midi-tracks in my DAW.

@Olymoon it's like iZotope Breaktweaker. But the library much more interesting. Too bad I can't find any learning videos from mainstream tutor makers. @quadcore64 @filtersweep you have any good one? (tutorial videos for Geist)

    @quadcore64
Thanks man for pointing in the GEIST direction.
I have been playing around with it for a couple of hours and I am really surprised at all its potential.
It's in deed a great software.
I will explore more in depth during the next few days when I can spare time.
Got one question about the browser. While pre auditioning the loops by simply clicking the file in the browser is there a way to make the loop "loop". It plays only once and stops. I looked for a loop button but I don't see this option.

    Thanks !

Not sure to honest. a feature I never looked to use. Currently don't have it installed. Slowly adding plugins after fresh install recently.
    Could be in the prefernces/settings.
