Hi everyone! I've been digging around some, and discovered that I should collab for a track with someone.
I keep my socials private, though, so sorry about that.

I'm looking for someone who uses Ableton, so I can share the files :)

    All good!

Ableton? Why specific? Use the standards and it won't matter what DAW is used. I've been doing this for 20 years. They all use the same formats don't they?

Well you see, I do not have money for something different, of course excluding analog, and Ableton is good to use because you can share the files to whoever has the same software, so it can be much easier to finish what other people have started.

I am not an Ableton user, but I know that these softwarez all work in standard formats using standard production settings, so what is created on one system can be exported from one system, and the imported into a system using a different DAW, and it will work fine. For instance, if you rendered stems in wav format from Ableton, at for example 100 BPM (tempo), I should be able to set my DAW to 100 BPM, and import your wavs and work with them, just the same as if they were created on my DAW to begin with. The standards I spoke of being wav format, and 100 BPM. Those are the same on all DAWs, so to just limit your request to Ableton users severely limits your possibilities. Using the standards means you can work with any DAW on any platform. Let me know and I can demonstrate this.

Well, you see, using WAVs is not the worst idea, but it would be completely impossible to change any melodies, drum beats, or whatnot without having the exact same files, and melody/beat already written out.

So use MIDI. That is not exclusive to Ableton. There are MANY standards that virtually ALL DAWs use, besides it's easy to change melody/beats, by just replacing them. If they don't need to be replaced then it is moot.

That's advanced stuff, but I will try to practice using midi in that way.

I used to make whatever, but now I'm just chilling with my lo-fi hip-hop, but I can really make any genre you give at me.
(p.s. i keep my stuff private)

this kind of thing doesn't exist.
even the best instruments player master 4 , 5 styles, but need to improve the others if they're creative.
reading music on a professional level is something else, but even there, not all styles are easy-peasy
John Williams is an 80 years old composer and even him can't "make any genre you give him"

well, you can't come here and ask for a collab without giving a clue.
you must be able to deliver something - after that, wether people like it or not is not under your control

stop doing "whatever", master your lo-fi hip-hop, and aside to that, try other styles.

finding your own style, your signature sound takes YEARS of practice, and experimentations.
it also takes years to be a great musician / producer / singer, etc ..

I don't say that to be negative, it's the naked truth.
    I hope this helps.

Trance, Deep House, Progressive House (Commercial EDM), Tech House. Chose one, and we'll collab. Had a couple of unfinished projects with all of these genres. Also, I would like to see how's your workflow while making
    Cheers.

1st person creates sth, 2nd person calls it a style and tries to mimic it, 3rd person does the same, ... so on and forth, then nth person calls the previous styles genre. Then a genre is born. Then some miserable and wretched people follow that genre and call anything outside of their mental territory as experimental and reject them.

Creative and powerful artists don't need to follow such cycle and they stand on their own feet.:bleh:
