Hey guys quick question about Max for live.
I've seen so many instruments and little plugins created by other people in Max. And I've modified the code in some (by the way I have no experience in coding what so ever) but anyways, I mess with the code and color of the gui and sort of create my own version of the Max for live effects that suit my needs betterm

My question is more about where I can start to learn some serious coding to where I could create my own plugins. It's always been a dream of mine. What do people recommend ? I've been thinking of starting school this year as well. Anyone know any specific courses to learn??

I have but some of the stuff on that page is still pretty advanced to me..

 

If you search the "sister site" with keyword "MaxForLive" you can find a video course called "Udemy Ultimate Ableton Live Part 7 MaxForLive".

Of course this is for an outdated version, but I'll think it's still useful for starters to get an overview.

... and of course there are also the standard docs of MaxForLive ;)

Can you clarify what you mean by serious coding? When you are using MaxForLive (or Reaktor which is quite similiar) there is normally no coding involved except you want to extend the platform itself (which depends further on the OS it is running on).
