Wow, this is certainly a gem, thank you very much, sir
I can't believe it is possible that there is some big dnb producers that aren't using Cubase (or Logic)

edit: Oh, I miss this Studio One v2 look..
I don't understand why did they re-design it to this flat and dark (boring, soul-less) look and it seems like a general trend between major DAWs - Logic is worst example of redesign (version 9 had perfect colors IMO) and it was one of bigger reasons for me to almost fully switch to S1 [sorry for OT]

  4. I don't buy anything that uses harware iLok, ever, at all, no exceptions. I ocassionally borrow it a bit, for evaluation purposes.

That, and the fact that UAD2 Lexicon 224 is the liquid sex of reverberation for me. But Verb 3 is the best rooms I've heard in software. Perhaps somebody should nick the design idea, which is quite simple.

Hypersonic 2 by Wizoo/licensed by Steinberg (a masterpiece vst rompler/synth)

AIR (formerly Wizoo) For almost all of their plugins. Especially Xpand! 2, another incredible vst rompler

UVI Vintage vault (ridiculously good sounding instruments and sound/preset design)

One Small Clue Poise drum machine (a clean mpc style drum vst, straight to the point, has the basic features others vst's lack or are hidden behind too much bloat)

    Acustica Nebula
    and Aqua plugs.

Presonus Studio One (the worlds most cutting edge daw in terms of workflow and overall innovative features, combined with Studio one X add on, its 96% of everything I want in a daw).

    Tone Boosters stuff.

    Synapse Dune 2

Hypersonic 2 for sure, even if you have to bridge it to x64.

    Stillwell's
    BFD Eco (Just Eco!)
    TSE x50 2
    MixIR2

Perhaps also Addictive Drums, but these are tough times for Toontrack competitors, specially on drums

PS. And almost the ones that haven't been cracked are overrated lol

I'll keep my answer in line with the actual question here "Plugin Developer". To be considered I think plugins need to be available in multi format VST, AU and AAX and no exclusive stuff. Otherwise it's not really fair.

    Disclaimer: in my opinion..

If you have an interest in sound design, that's a hard yes. Avenger does what serum does, but also offers multisamples and multisample import, 8 oscillators, 4 filters, Cross FM between all oscillators (including each oscillator's sampler functions, detune/unison, AM, etc), modulatable FET editor, a modulation step sequencer and a (fantastic) arpeggiator. Oh and if you're into that sort of thing it's got its own library of Vengeance drums and a drum sequencer.

I could probably go on if I wanted to. Avenger's one and only major failing is the lack of parallel filtering. I have asked and pleaded on the forum. I've sent a request to the dev. He basically said "I'll consider it" and it sadly has never materialized. They have some really neat "novelty" filters but you can't modulate a mix parameter which makes them somewhat less useful than they could be.

Serum has a couple more interesting filter modes and is a little (not a ton) easier to use but I'd say it's pretty inferior honestly

tbh Omnisphere has a fantastic library but it's kind of a pain to use for sound design. Everything's hidden away on separate pages and modulation assignment is kind of cumbersome compared to the brainless drag and drop of serum and Avenger

    Sup @mercurysoto !

I don't know much about synths but I liked your passion yet stating that is a considerable subjective topic.

    Sorry for the OT.

Recently started diving into Ableton's Operator. I've been making some pretty nasty bass percussive sounds. I love how full the sound is.
I've been trying to find documentation on Operator, or perhaps a manual but haven't had any luck, maybe you guys can help me find something.

    -STOCK DAW PLUGINS RULE!

Wow, great lists of plugins and synths here guys.
Lately been on my FM Synth hunt.
I love FM8, been using it for years but the GUI is a little old and I have a hard time with the envelopes.
Do you guys know any FM synthesizers out there?
    What are your favorites?

Definitely D16/SOR PunchBox and Seaweed Audio - Fathom (and it's incredibly cheap as well)
