Love this track by Youandewan but can't figure out what the drum machine is, Any one clued up enough to make a guess?

Kid of reminds me of a few detroity tracks (The Other People Place - Let Me Be Me) but spaced out with verb and phasers - Really nice!

 

Sounds like 808 blended with some 909.

 

he uses logic and a laptop mostly it seems so its probably samples

 

maybe take a look at Addictive Drums 2 most presets have some overall similar in character to one on the reference.

According to my Reel Machines Pack of AD it's a high filtered 808 sn with "bottom mic" and a high filtered, low pitched Linn kick.

@Futurewine - I have reel machines I think, I've made a huge collection of drum machines in Falcon separated into kicks snare clap rim etc etc so was trying to find relevant samples from here but this seems like a way better option - The Hats have so much weight in them so I figured it was from something super odd but this is not so much.

Should be no problem. I switched through the dry presets, found the basic sound and did some tweaking. 10minutes, at least 80% close.

 

Falcon is interesting +1 Maybe Beatbox Anthology 2 is much better option to use there.

 

Sorry guys, neither SP1200 nor Linndrum have this type of snare afaik. This must be a TR-808 with the snare slightly compressed.

 

And I think it's a 909 hh, pitched down, high and low filtered and distorted.

Nice idea, 909 hh, 808 sn, linn kick. I assume the guy used AD.

seems tr-606 sn much closer.. 808 & 909 & linn sn kinda missing that attack (from hardware point of view) but my ear maybe wrong..

 

Lots of tweaking outboard while this bounced so excuse the few crazy moments - Think I slammed it a bit too hard into my harmonizer so it's kind of crunchy

It sounds like a Jomox Xbase 999 drum machine

 

@quadcore64 interesting. In comparision to Reel Machines from AD the hardware has a deeper bd and a higher snare. And the snare has definitely more punch.

could be oberheim dmx snare (not the claps) too.. kick i say dmx or linndrum.. hihats could be 909 or any other drumcomputer too.
